Its really not... Wang runs this team for 2 more seasons... Snow could still cra@p the bed this year (Which i don't think will happen) & he would STILL be our GM next year & have that year to PROVE he deserves the job.

- XxNYIxX

Yes and no. Yeah wang would keep him but the new guys wouldnt unless he had some banner season next yr. If this yr wound up being a failure (I dont believe it'll fit that description) due to coaching and capuano was replaced with weight and he crapped the bed lets say I doubt the new guys would keep him unless we went to the finals next yr. Either that or theyre just as facking nuts as wang.

He got tossed because Stuart was "injured". The NHL is now a reactionary league and injury, or in this case the appearance of injury, will always result in harsher penalties both in-game and from the Dept. of Player Safety.

Tavares literally said in the post game that the ref he spoke to that made the call told him that he "had to call it". Sure doesn't sound like it was an easy, cut-and-dry decision like Kreider's ejection the other night.

Give Stuart credit though, he was tough. He played pretty well considering such a terrible injury limited him to only a meager 20:26 min of TOI.

Well hopefully they learn from it. Next time hickey gets hit like that he starts with the theatrics instead of being respectful.

Hickey being crushed into boards seemed worse than Kumi's hit, and 1 got a major plus game misconduct while other gets 2mins ..... And u know I don't play the homer card...
- Ur Not Me

I will agree that I felt the hit on Hickey was just as much a major penalty.

I got stuck listening to the jets broadcast but it pissed me off in a major way to listen to them go on and on about kulemin not letting up and then to start blaming hickey when he got hit flush in the numbers. I still believe the right call was made on kulemin but to hear them bust out every double standard they could on that hit royally pissed me off and I almost turned it off.

Homerism is tough to deal with. It's the one thing that I don't like about goring though you can't take it seriously with him. He still wouldn't call it the other way on those two plays if the roles were reversed. He's not that much of a homer. None the less the islanders lost that game not the officiating but I still don't agree with those calls or non calls.

interesting, but not the guy I want for a team needing someone with NHL experience. Crawford would still be my #1 pick.

Just a footnote here, we're on pace to allow more goals than last year. Strike two cappy. Strike one was our PK.

Proven NHL coach is what we need if Snow fires Capuano.

The offense is fine. The power play is O.K. It's the PK and the defensive scheme that the coach sets up that is for sh!t. Oh, and the line matching, and the time-outs. I can think of other things, but they've all been mentioned before. Cappy's days are numbered.

I was gonna say I honestly don't think howie and Butch are that bad. They're always talking about opposing players and complimenting them. The Rangers announcers kill me. Staal will make a basic cross ice pass and they'll start getting all excited and start wackin it.

I almost always get the other teams feed and would say the Canes and Jets broadcasts are awful for that. Just flat out horrid.

The Bruins announcers think the sun shines out Boston's a$$. The Sabres announcer is like a 70 year old little kid talking about his favorite thing in the world. However, most annoying of all are the morons in the Flyers booth. A Flyer can trip over the dasher coming off the bench, and they'll immediately start whining for a penalty. It's like having petulant 12 year old girls announce a hockey game. I don't mind announcers being homers- just don't bullsh*t me about what I'm watching, and don't neglect to point out when my own team is playing like crap. These three are an epic fail in both categories.

What I dont get is his reluctance to adjust and fix it. Its not working. It hasnt been since hes been coach. He has seen a more defensive structure work when we were "forced" to play it due to injuries. Why not integrate the two? How is it that hes not aware and the rest of the world is that he needs to fix it for this team to be consistently successful? Opposing players skating freely through the neutral zone, backing up over the blue line, and cute little touch passes in your own zone to help your puck possession numbers wont lead to more victories.

How is he not aware of this? I dont get it and it becomes increasingly more frustrating to watch with the talent we have get lost in his "system".

Im sure tavares isnt liking having to battle cizikas and martin for ice time or having a borderline worthless plug on his wing. How could you blame him? Boychuck inexplicably take off the pp when he is quite obviously effective on it. What happens to the pp soon after? It falters of course. Common sense. Now hes back on it and all is forgiven? No. We went 0 for 7 in games we couldve won and points we could have gained. Its not forgiven. Enough of this its time for capuano to join the real world and start making some sensible decisions or its time for him to go and he needs to be replaced by a real nhl coach not some other guy whose best attribute in our GM's eyes is a new england accent. Theres too much talent on this team it'd be a shame to watch this season go to shat due to something every single fan knew was an issue before the season even started.

Because he legit believes it's not systems, it's "battle level." He's said it in multiple interviews, as recently, I believe, as this last post-game.

Like after Kreider crushed Brodin from behind the other night and, while they certainly (correctly) condemned the hit...they had to throw in "well Kreider, he's just so strong"

It's frustrating as hell. We lead the division. I'm happy about that but I'll be furious if we lose that lead due to coaching. There needs to be accountability from the players but putting the wrong players on the ice at the wrong times is not the players fault. Coaching isn't ever flawless. I get it. They see and know a helluva lot more than we do. A lot of coaches sometimes make decisions that make you scratch your head even good ones. Those decisions sometimes work though. When Capuano makes those head scratching decisions and they don't work yet he'll still do the same thing over, over, and over again with the same result it makes me want to rip my facking hair out.

Hey Dan, since you follow BPort relatively closely…what’s up with Pedan? Seems like he’s always scratched, and now sent to the ECHL, but the few times he gets into the lineup he puts up points, hits and fights. Is this an attitude thing, a skill thing, something else?

Why Strait is out there or the 4th line is out there down a goal with 5min left in the game is silly... with 2 mins left its like waving the white flag.

That's like a house league Pee Wee coach rolling all lines so he doesn't upset any parents or make the 4th liners feel bad that they suck, which they usually do.
