4th line out with less than 2:00. Brilliant.

I guess it's because they have the #1 Defense pairing playing with them, right?

there's a reason Halak was available for us to sign...

he's inconsistent and has a weak glove hand.

At this point, I think Chad Johnson deserves the majority of the starts.
Especially with some pretty solid teams to play on the road trip.

i think youre forgetting 3 of the 5 dallas goals.

The wheels on the bus go round and round ... Until they fall off.

They were great in the first period. What happened?

Does not matter who this team signs, or who plays, it's obvious the coaching and system is BROKEN. I do not expect great things until this half wit behind the bench is gone. Why no timeout to slow momentum???????????????????????He could have used it 20 times tonight. The guy is flat out bad at his job!

Lot of teams right behind us and that was not a game we should have lost. Wasted opportunity.

The Isles have now given up 3 or more goals in 8 of 9 games. So when someone asks why folks are getting on the coach of a 6-2 team (now 6-3) , the answer remains that the same damn systematic shortcomings appear year after year without any strategic remedy.

If he is let go (which is a big if) Weight or Thompson would get the job. I don't think that's much of an improvement.

This! The smart hockey fan can see the problems even with a 6-3 record.

This team thinks offense at all costs. Going to be their undoing.

This team should be a top three or four playoff team in this conference, with these players. It will be EXTREMELY lucky to make the playoffs with this coach. Typical team that doesn't play defense- beats great teams like Boston and San Jose, loses to sh*tbags like Toronto and Winnipeg- because it doesn't matter who they're playing, it only matters who scores the last goal or two of the six or more that are scored in every game; who just happens to be ahead when the time expires. Their luck (and make no mistake, it has most certainly been luck) ran out tonight. This is why their home record is appalling, and they're good on the road, because none of that matters, when you don't play defense.....they'll probably beat Colorado 8-7, and then lose 6-5, to Anaheim....roll the dice....anything can happen. I guess that's "exciting for the fans". Not this fan.

It's gotta be one of the two. Who else would they bring in? Keep in mind the front office likes this system. They were playing it in Bridgeport as well.

3.44 goals against average. How many games can you expect to win with that statistic, realistically? That's WORSE than last year, not better.

Tonight we witnessed a less talented team adjust and change........... why???????
Because they were coached properly! It's one thing to loose on the road to a good team but to loose at home to a weak team missing two of their best players? Falls on coaching and ours is now the weakest link in the chain of our organization!I hope this tool gets canned sooner rather than later....

You're giving him too much credit. Which part is the half? I'm seeing zero, myself.

It's almost like it kills these players and coaches to have to play defense. They only want to be in that offense zone. They think D is beneath them. Leave it to the goalie.

Like Jimmy is saying, though- the entire organization seems to like this reinvention of the wheel, even when it's glaringly obvious that the wheel was fine as it was. What Milbury used to do in terms of acquiring players, these guys are doing with their beloved "system", which is systematically bullsh*t. The proof is in the idea that when all the players are hurt, they play a simple trap, AND WIN HOCKEY GAMES. Maybe winning hockey games needs to be more of a priority- just saying....

Bit of a nerve-wracking game. Thought for sure the Jets were gonna get killed.

You guys need a goalie... But what's new. I feel your pain.

What about Brodeur for you guys? Could he be any worse than what you have? Might be worth a shot.

There's not much I can add to what you guys have already said. No Kane, no Bogosian...should be an easy win. I'm really sick of this. Our coach makes me sick even with no Hamonic there's no excuse for more than 3 goals every game. Please waive Brian Strait as soon as possible. There's no way Donovan or Reinhart can be worse than him.
I'll give Okposo a mulligan for that goal he's earned it. Halak played like shot though and leaving that fat rebound didn't help things.

C'mon...give us a real NHL coach. Bring back Laviolette. Any NHL caliber coach. Never a good sign when your team can't get up to play these crap teams. The first 10 minutes of the 3rd period were awful too. What did this coach say to them?

While Halak wasn't very good tonight, I think it's more the defensive scheme our "coach" uses. It's too passive. They allow guys to skate the perimeter and setup without challenging.

A. I don't think it can get worse
B. You may as well figure out the deal with Weight sooner than later.

I'm pretty certain Weight would have a few ideas of his own and at least be a better game manager. I honestly dont think a change is coming anytime soon, but we've all been pretty aware (major understatement) of the fact that Capuano has been a major shortcoming for this team. If we all agree that Weight is likely plan B, then I'd at least prefer we get this show on the road rather than waiting for a disasterous implosion (November is upon us).
