Kessel was already beat when Krejci got the puck, and he isn't strong enough to cut him off inside anyway if he did catch him. Dion should have cut across and buried him. Though, it was a 2 on 1 - but still, was apparent Krejci wasn't passing when he turned the corner. And if he did manage to sneak a pass through Dion's legs, so be it, at least he'd pay for it.

Rather he take a chance and bury somebody and get scored on than do nothing and still get scored on.

Phaneuf stayed tight with the other skater and left Krecji too much space ..bad decision.

Kessel was in stride with Krecji at the opposing blue line and was out hustled by him ...bad effort.

215 of the better defensive players costs 1.5-3 mil.

The 6 better offensively cost 8+

Solution isn't to get rid of phatty Phil.

Is someone blaming him? I think Dozzer and I are just saying he can be better. The start of the conversation was that it was time for Phil to lead by example on the ice, off the ice and training in the off season. We know his fitness numbers are ok, but with his natural athletic ability, it's time for him to lead this team in more than points.
