Would you prefer an even odds lottery for teams 17-30, or a rolling draft where you pick in each slot over 30 years sporadically?
- BetterCallSaul

Those are both stoopid.

I'd prefer a complete random lottery. Picks 1-30 all have the exact same chance of getting the No.1 pick. Then do the same with the other 29 teams for pick No. 2. Then 28 for No. 3 etc.

Then it Is completely fair for all teams. Don't reward teams for not even giving a (frank) (management). Seriously, could Buffalo have just taken a sabbatical this year. Saved everyone's time and energy. What is the point of them having to play 82 games?

yup. If you are deliberately bad then you'll drive fans away.

Soon as they get McDavid, all their fans will be back, so not much loss for the owner really. What?....6 months losing money?

And they're stacked with prospects already so as long as they don't pull an Edmonton they could have a really good team in a few years.

Why not have the whole draft order determined by a lottery? Give the non playoff teams a better shot at landing earlier picks but still have it so other teams have a chance of picking anywhere. If done properly it'd kill tanking while still helping out teams that need talent the most.

Crosby draft.

If they didn't enter this year, there wouldn't be such high bills. Do concerts every night and pay the players from that. Elton John could move his every night thing from Vegas to Buffalo.

Yeah that was a great draft. I would prefer that over the current system.

Oh absolutely. I just really hate the fact they are serving no purpose whatsoever even playing a game this year. Why the league cannot do anything with teams like this is beyond me. Making a mockery of the whole league.

Yeah, it wasn't that long ago that Garth and others were throwing about the "hockey heaven" tagline. Now all that means is that Buffalo is where careers go to die.

I do feel bad for some of the fans, they're generally a solid bunch and they don't deserve this.

Then again, they have some special ones... Those ones can go (frank) themselves

New lines worked nicely. It's just buffalo, but they worked hard. They'll win most nights with that effort.

so detroit could miss the playoffs this one season and have the same shot as Barfalo and Carolina to get McDavid/Eichel. cool!

MAybe. but no gaurantee. McDavid alone doesn't turn them into a playoff contender. Pens missed playoffs n his first year. Tavares has how many playoffs since he starteed?? Stamkos??

They need more than one guy to fix that poop show.

The new lines played well, mind you it was against Buffalo. I was nice to see RC stick with the line combos as well and give them a full game to mesh together and not just a couple shifts and go back to his old ways.

As I said it was against Buffalo, we will see what happens Saturday against Chicago. They "should" be able to beat Columbus as they are destroyed with injuries.

Bob's hurt but Columbus is better than their record shows I think. Both games might be tough.

I liked the new lines too. It'll be fun to see how they work against an NHL team.

I'd remain cautiously optimistic.

Buffalo isn't exactly showing up hard every night.

10 (frank)ing shots on net.
