I think Moore's hit deserves a suspension but the 8-10 games people are throwing out seem way excessive. He went to finish his check but just finished it way high. If he wasn't a repeat offender than 2 games, so with last years hit 4-5 games tops.

The bad thing for Moore is he might have just lost his job in the lineup. If whoever replaces him plays well and then Boyle returns in a few weeks I see him as a healthy scratch.

I am ok with Hunwick being the sixth; on the third pair with Klein once Boyle returns.

Hunwick has done nothing to not be slotted into the lineup every night. He has been really strong.

Who was talking about dealing Klein? So far he has been the team's best defensemen; not even close actually at this point.

Before the season there was discussion on what to in order to resign Staal

He had to have known thought that he was going to start to slowdown to play the puck. He knew they were in that area behind the net. Like I said he's not dirty and plays the game clean and hard, but he has to tonw it down a little. Be a little smarter. He's going to develop that reputation around the league and you know once that happens he's a target.

I agree with you. No excuse for that hit last night. That defenseman was in front of Kreider and had every right to play the puck. Kreider should have waited till he turned a bit and did the same hit and it would have been an awesome hit. Kreider cant hit people in the numbers 6 ft away from the boards, don't care how much we all like him. Doesnt make him dirty, just not too bright.

In all honesty it's like driving an SUV and having a smart car slam on the brakes, there was nothing else that could have happened, Brodin and his 195 lb frame can't stop a train

Fair enough but Klein is a great insurance policy on the right side of the blueline. Boyle got hurt, right off the hop, Klein stepped up and has played great in that top four role.

Kreider definitely looks like he is not playing with a full deck. Glad he is on this team though; kid is a rare blend of talent, strength and crazy.

Absolutely, love the kid, just not going to defend stupid poop he does.

The Price thing was the Montreal player who tripped him. The Upshall thing was defending our #1 center. Have no issues whatsoever with those plays. This was just plain dumb.

Indeed, last night's issue is not in the same ballpark as defending a teammate/friend and getting tripped into a goalie due to an errant stick while moving as fast as some cars do.

Awaiting word that NYR John Moore's hearing may not be via phone, after all. Possible it could be in person. Stay tuned.

Two games, no different than Prusts hit. And Prust was a repeat offender.

That prust hit was way worse too and broke the players jaw, and it was only 2 games

Sorry, as I wrote in blog, think 5-10 games would be the right number. Repeat offender as twice within less than 20 games, given playoffs and regular season, and both shots to head. Send a message and suspend him.

Two wrongs don't make a right and have you forgotten how up in arms we were at just two games being given out as a suspension?

I don't think Prust was considered a repeat offender by the rules.

I agree with this to a certain extent, but the defensemen needs to shoulder some of the blame. The defensemen turns his back and slows down on a play where he should be skating through the puck. His intention is to slow down the oncoming player by screening him. Kreider wants to get in on the puck, he is bigger and stronger.... crash. I am not defending Kreider because he needs to throttle back a bit, but these defensemen are not helping themselves.

As for the Moore hit... stupid play. I have no problem with any punishment they are going to hand down.

Jan, it was a horrible hit, dirty and I personally would give him anywhere between 5-10 games. My post was more about the league's suspensions, and the inconsistencies. Kind of a tongue in cheek post.

I do agree with you defenseman do this on purpose. Hell our own defenseman do it. They have to stop putting themselves in vulnerable positions. In this instance, I think it was the defensman not realizing Kreider is as strong as a runaway freight train, and Kreider not realizing how strong he is. Its why I think it was dumb and not dirty.

I have always said Kreider is Lennie from Of Mice & Men

All any forward on the forecheck has to realize now, is if you see the numbers dont throw a hit, wrap the defender up. Its the way the league is now and players have to adjust.

It had been a while since my last visit ... love new garden & lighting ,lines the works ... but ...IDK i have strong pts on both stay home 60 in.....conclusion 1 gAME EVERY NOW & THEN , to refresh the garden style & fans ..wahtta nite

last time NYR came back 3 goals down in 3rd was...MInn .2/92' ironic

concerns as Jan pts to are going to be here for the holidays ...
1st so much talent to work with depth is our greatest strength except @ center -toughness
Moore : suspension is best meds for him ,way to much talent to keep seeing him on ice 2-3 x a game for goals against....sorry Kostka is waitn& like i read Conor Allen ( when he came up last yr looked ready then, just add some toughness ?)
Lines : with such unknowns with youth game to game : i only hope he keeps MSL out of middle, 2man combos have formed lookin to close ranks
lines now & later : brass -zuucc -nash ..wow, buzzing like bees possesed last nite ..keep it while hot
hags -Duke- Mueller ...
Morre glass stemper : thats gonna be anass kicker of line
MSl kreids Hayes .....could be deadly for MSL
