Spiller/Jackson are probably capable of it(basing that of their rating in madden 15 ), though from what i've read spiller's not doing so well.
- Sabresfan-365

You do know Jackson's out a month and Spiller is out with a broken collar bone?

did not, don't really follow american football.

If that's the case is the run game basically dead?

It didn't fare so well on Sunday, but given that the Jets have a very stout run defense, and that the game was a disaster for them from the word "go", it's not a fair indicator.

Interesting to note: they put him on the designated to return IR list. I'm guessing it's for the playoffs, if that were to happen.

Running or shall I say attempting to run on every 1st down is a sure fire way to have 2nd and long more times than not.

The play calling still isn't very good.

Yes that's what was reported. Smart move if in fact they do make it.

Until Manuel is actually allowed to pass the ball 35-45 times a game regularly like Orton is, I can't see how you can say one is better than the other. Manuel can throw, it's just a matter of the garbage play calling and all of those atrocious lateral/sideline passes we try.
- LetsGoBuffalo75

He can throw, just not accurately.
\IMO, chances are he desn't make any one of the those 3 passes on the last drive to win against Minn, let alone one of them.
I saw a lot of his sideline passes go 5 yards out of bounds...not becuase he was rushed, or was throwing it away either.
The kid hopefully will comeback improved and is learning under Orton, but I do reamin skeptical about his accuracy.

The amount of praise Orton is getting is insane IMO.

We still suck on 3rd down.
We don't score much more.
We still get bailed out by our defense.
With the exception of the Jet game which I'm convinced Bill Joe Hobert would have won we still turn the ball over.
We take more sacks with Orton

Orton is doing a few things a 10 year vet should do. But to act like the difference has been night and day is just wrong.

On Sunday we had 3 drives start in the Jets territory that ended with no points. If we are playing any other team we might lose that game.

- sbroads24

A good % of what you said is directed at the OC, not the QB.
There is just no way Manuel completes those throws...he is god-aweful with his accuracy.

You do remember Orton spotting Detroit 7 points with a pick 6 right?

And the fact that they missed 3 FG's helped us some.

Speaking of having to make an amazing catch, do you not remember Sammy reaching behind his body and deflecting a ball up to himself to put us in range for a 58 yard FG?

This is what I find funny. Orton is obviously better, but not by a lot.

- sbroads24

Orton is gettign better...good god, he hasn't played in like 3 years.
let's see you do your job as efficiently after 3 years off.

Ray Charles can see Orton is better than Manuel.
I think this is what Manuel needed in part anyway, so I do hope he gets something out of this, if nothing else.. get rid of the conservatism. Sometime you gotta put the ball up and let the receiver make a play...Orton knows that, hopefully Manuel can learn it when the time is right.
Laso, let's hope the QB coach is working him after practices to improve his accuracy...I would LOVE to see him succeed.

I would say they need to beat the Chiefs, Dolphins, and at least one of Green Bay, Denver, or New England.

I cringed when Rich Gannon said this team could very well end up 9-3 going into that Denver game. Not that any of those games are impossible, but that's a jinx.

- buffalofan19

They should beat the Browns, Jets and Raiders. That gives them 8 wins. If they also beat the Chiefs and Dolphins, they're at 10 - and i think that puts them in the conversation.

It does, but with the way the NFL works these days, chances are they drop one of those games they "should win" for one reason or another. The Browns are a Jeckyll and Hyde team which makes them very dangerous, which is why they're going to have to win one of those other three mentioned. The Chiefs and Dolphins are must wins simply for seeding purposes.

Chiefs are a Jeckel/Hyde team. I'm not so sure after watching our O struggle against Minn and Jets that they will beat KC. Cleveland is one of those games teams look past, not that the Bills can afford to look past any team.
I gess'm saying I do expect m to finish closer to 8-8 than 11-5

Why don't we both just agree that they need another 5 wins to be "in the conversation."

Different teams, though.

Still, I think Kansas City is a must win, whether they're a "should win" or not.

Given the way the NFL works these days, the Bills are likely to lose at least one "must win," so we can only hope they win all the "should wins."

I have said 4 different times Orton is obviously better. Funny that you mention Ray Charles when you ignored that part of the post as if you couldn't see it

My whole point is that our problems on offense are far from solved.

Kansas City is a must win because they're most likely one of the teams they'll be fighting for a playoff spot with, same with Miami. Lose to either of those teams, and the road becomes more difficult because of the two game swing and tiebreakers, even if you hit the 10 game plateau.

The worst bit is they have all those cheap fast food places so conveniently close by that you just can't help.

It's scary remembering how much dominoes pizza i consumed my first year
