Trade 57 but keep 61 and 41 in the lineup, yep that will fix the problem.
- SABRES 89

it's a numbers game

they are loaded on the back end, with the big club and in rochester, weak up front

if they did that trade, you have a legit top line winger, something that is not in the sabres pipeline right now IMO

then again it is ek

At this point, I'd almost rather they keep him here and just don't play him. In the long run it's not great for either him or the team, but at least you're getting the point across that they won't allow players to essentially bully them into allowing them a spot on the roster.

Yup. What I get out of that, is that Zadorov doesn't want to go back to Jr, so he refuses to sign the transfer agreement. The Sabres don't want to risk him not coming back from the KHL, so they won't let him go there.

I hate that they're in this position. I like the kid, but he's not ready. He needs another year in Jr. The fact that he got benched during Traverse City is proof that he's not mentally ready for the NHL yet.

As much as I'd like to just say they should play him and bench one of Meszaros/Benoit, that's not really good either because you're letting the player dictate how to handle things instead of the other way around. If his play dictated that he belongs here, I'd be all for it. But it hasn't. His attitude has been suspect and his play in London last year was wildly inconsistent at times.

Is it really giving in to him though? That logic is what gets me, that and the "earned" ice time for Reinhart (and last year Grigorenko).

This roster is complete crap, so if Zadorov plays, it's to replace someone who is poopting the bed (same with Reinhart/Grigorenko).

He had a bad Traverse City tournament and a not so overly impressive training camp as well. I feel like him refusing to sign the transfer agreement is him saying "Screw you, I'm going to force you to keep me here."

He got his chance on the big roster last year, just like Reinhart is getting this year so I don't see how that has anything to do with this. And while Grigorenko was upset about going back to Jr last year, he now says that he knows it was what was best for him at the time.

You'd think that with Grigorenko and Zadorov being friends, that he would have just told Zadorov to just go back to Jr and learn from the experience he's gotten so far.

Well said. These Russians have to learn, if you want to play in the best league in the world, you have to earn it, then wait, and wait some more.

Exactly. How fair is it to Pysyk who's put in his time in both Jr and the AHL or Ruhwedel who played in college and then the AHL that Zadorov is stomping his feet refusing to go back to Jr?

I would say both of them are a better option for the NHL roster than Zadorov is right now. And they've definitely earned the right to be here before him, IMO.

No chance the Stars part with him IMO.

Myers for Eberle? Oilers want a D man, just my opinion. I'm not a fan of Myers but i'm also not a fan of moving him, a player like his size and skill for a big D man is hard to find.

What is earn it. If your good enough to be here you earned it. Just because you didn't have to play in hack leagues like the ahl doesn't mean you did not earn it.
Young players listen to there agents. That's what the issue is. The agent is who they trust not the club

I think for Ruhwedel it's a numbers game. I think for Pysyk it's because he got hurt early in training camp. Nolan did say they'd like to get him back up here as soon as possible.

Neither are that good. Pyszk can be a 4-5. Chad R. reminds me of a bunch of undersized D. That has come up and shanked. Good numbers in ahl. just not here

Weber is going to go out and put forth a consistent effort from game to game. Zadorov has trouble doing that in Jr. You can't take nights off in the NHL. There are too many really skilled players that will make you pay.

Does Weber have shortcomings? Absolutely. But he still has more business being on the roster here right now than Zadorov does.

Now, this conversation will probably be the complete opposite 2 or 3 years from now, but currently this is our reality.

I still don't think the Bills have a long-term capable starting quarterback on this roster, but Kyle Orton is essentially saving Whaley's and Marrone's jobs. Despite his shortcomings, he's putting Watkins in positions to make plays, and Watkins is delivering in spades.
- buffalofan19

Spot on. Furthermore, his look of WTF to Hacket after run-run plays on 1st and 2nd downs are priceless...alonw, worth the price of game tickets!
" WTF - did you just waste 2 downs... Now you expect me to complete a 9 yard pass when everyone knows its'comin? F-it, call what you want but I'm going 20 yards over the middle to Watkins, Chandler, Woods, or whomever else you throw on the field"
