Has there been anything in the buffalo media about Grigorenko being moved?

Looks like he has had a decent start in the AHL this year.

- ystoil

Yes moved from the AHL to the NHL once Reinhart gets sent back.

Not that I know of, he's looking good in the AHL only a matter of time before he gets the call up.

is that kid only in one episode? I need to watch that series...
- JCSabs06

The answer to your question has no bearing on the truth of your final statement.

The kids is in a few episodes, but EVERYBODY ought to watch that series.

Well if he scores a hat trick playing on the 4th line tonight he might stay up. Otherwise i'd put money on him going back down.

The unfortunate truth of being a fan.

I think Draisaitl should go down/Europe but it's looking like he's staying all year.

Not sure why this site is changing the web address, because it's supposed to be for Kukla's Korner.

This is what the article says though:
The peculiar situation in which former first round pick Nikita Zadorov finds himself with the Buffalo Sabres could be resolved this week. Or maybe not. Zadorov has played one game this season, Friday against L.A., and the Sabres would like to send him back to the London Knights of the OHL.

The 6-foot-6 blueliner, however, would prefer to join Sergei Fedorov’s CSKA Moscow squad where he can play against men and make a good salary, probably around $400,000 per season. Zadorov actually has to sign a transfer agreement to go back to London even though he has a contract with the Knights, so he theoretically controls his fate. His agent, Rollie Hedges, is trying to find a way to make all parties happy, no easy task.

Anothert lazy russian, no thanks. We are rebuilding but we are trading our best D man? yea that makes all the sense in the world.

The media is blowing this whole thing up I was told.

So in reality this is more on Zadorov and his agent then it is on Buffalo.

The lazy Russian comment is stereotypical, IMO. He is anything but that. Nich brings size and speed and a 1st line wing talent. Something the Sabres lack. 35 points as a rookie is nothing to look past.

Yup. What I get out of that, is that Zadorov doesn't want to go back to Jr, so he refuses to sign the transfer agreement. The Sabres don't want to risk him not coming back from the KHL, so they won't let him go there.

I hate that they're in this position. I like the kid, but he's not ready. He needs another year in Jr. The fact that he got benched during Traverse City is proof that he's not mentally ready for the NHL yet.

As much as I'd like to just say they should play him and bench one of Meszaros/Benoit, that's not really good either because you're letting the player dictate how to handle things instead of the other way around. If his play dictated that he belongs here, I'd be all for it. But it hasn't. His attitude has been suspect and his play in London last year was wildly inconsistent at times.

Russians are lazy, they can have 5 games a week and only show up for 2 of them. We have no number 1 center for him either so we have no clue how he will play here, the Stars have 2 centers we don't.

Trade 57 but keep 61 and 41 in the lineup, yep that will fix the problem.
