I am starting to feel like a crazy person when I speak about Larsson becomes nobody believes he is good. I think every team has at least one situation that is hard for any other team to understand or another teams fan base. Njs is Larsson and how he has played more then well enough the last two camps to earn a spot but is the first to be pulled out if he makes any mistakes. No other defense man on the team gets the treatment Larsson does, Gelinas would be a close second as Merril and Severson seem to be the coach favs. Zidlicky tossed the puck up directly up the front of the net when we had a 3-2 lead against the rangers causing us to blow the lead on that play and lost in o.t and he didnt miss a beat after that and neither does sal when he is on the ice for like 6 of our 9 goals scored against us on the pk.

If Detroit trades for him then you just know he's suddenly going to be a rock solid top 4 d-man.

A lot of us hope he is traded so this mess is finally over with. Did you know Lou didnt even offer him a signing bonus after he was drafted. Every other player taken in the first got one but he didnt because Lou didnt believe in rewarding players for signing. Lets also remember this is the highest draft pick we have had since Neidermayer at #3 and this is how we welcome him. Then you fast forward to this year when he told him he would get a chance and that he wouldnt be playing anywhere but nj when he signed him to a one way deal. Then they announce Severson has made the team ( he has literally been arguably our best defence man, him and Greene ). They then said they would be rotating d in and out and he gets to be a healthy scratch for the first 5 games of the season then put you in for 12 minutes and scratching you again just after one game. His confidence is shot and he needs to be traded before he has 0 value. I have already that we will lose any deal that sends Larsson to a different team.

Kesler wasn't really a full value sell for the Canucks . It was originally rumoured that he had a list of 5 teams, but apparently he wanted to go to Anaheim all along so Benning had little bargaining power(unless ANA was unaware of this and believed the PIT speculation).

Serious question, why is trading one prospect for another ridiculous, but trading one of the NHL's elite Offensive Defensemen for a prospect is supposedly fair?

I think it would take Schenn plus for Yandle....I don't see Flyers moving Couturier.....I never said ridiculous....I don't think that's what the flyers need. If they are to move Schenn then I believe it would involve a need that is for today and tomorrow .....they feel that 3-4 of their kids are definitely NHL talent and will be helping in the next few years.

They're in a spot now where they're dealing with some old forwards that I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see them move Larsson.

I just cant believe Lou is that mad. The only hope we have of keeping him is if Lou knows his value is to low to move him so they just be patient with him. That would only continue to hurt his confidence and not help him develope in any way. We cant send him down he has to clear waivers so until an injury happens he likely wont play other then when Gelinas has a rough stretch.

Adam Larsson for Matt Hackett, Torrey Mitchell, and you choice of Benoit, Mezaros, or Weber. A good goalie prospect, 3rd liner forward, and a 3rd pairing defenseman. Let's start there

lol I would say we could use Hackett ( in case wedgi doesnt pan ) and Weber to replace Salvador and give us grit back there and I am always looking to add picks but I would rather just swap him one for one with a forward prospect who needs a change of scenery. I actually think Grigorenko will be a heck of a player like Johanson and I would swap Larsson for him
