I'd like to roll four lines, but if the fourth line can't defend or create as a whole, they need to have their minutes limited. Cappy has never been a line match guy. Maybe he should start... - Jethro09

I didnt order the center ice this year, so I havent watched any islander games, does Ryan Strome look like the real deal out there? ( I just called him up permanently from my farm team in my dynasty league) |

Couple of things we've learned so far: 1) the isles can score with anyone. Seven goals and none from the first line. 2) the isles need to work on team defense. They score a lot, but they still give up a lot of goals. Hey, I'm just happy they're winning but eventually, they need better defensive play. - Jethro09
We saw it with the leafs last year. The bad defensive play is going to catch up with them. Im happy theyre 6-2 dont get me wrong but they have to tighten up. Capuano has to play a tighter defensive system then what we've seen you cant rely solely on scoring goals and the goalies to come up big its unrealistic they'll consistently keep winning. |

Yeah...pretty much....The real question is why he refuses to do that unless half his talent is on IR.....it's like unless he fears losing if they don't play defense, he doesn't make them play defense. I don't know why he doesn't fear losing....they've done enough of it while he has been the coach. |

I don't think he'll be a prolific goal scorer but I see him as a 15 goal 60 assist guy if he's playing top six minutes.... |

I think team defense will improve. They've had defensemen in and out of the lineup due to injuries. I don't think they've established consistency yet. |

If they can even slightly improve the defense/goaltending things will be fantastic. They're leading the league with 3.88 G/GP. |

We need to get better defensively.
I think if Cappy replaces Johnson after 3GAA it would have been more reserved game.
You cant hope your team scores 7G to win a game.
Btw, Im totally fine with Tavares not getting a point and having his team get 7 goals. B/c its the night they aren't we need him.
Lets keep it going. |

Capuano: Hamonic and Bailey skated early, "good chance" both will go on road trip. News on Bailey "better than we initially thought." #Isles |

It could just be a hairline fracture. He reported it wasn't from the hack he took but from going into the boards shortly after, so it might not be all that severe.
Either way, good news on both. |

great news but no reason to come back right away. He should keep skating and practicing with non-contact.
I would just give Conacher the update - " hey corey, Bailey is healthy and guess what if you don't put up a goal a game in next 4 games enjoy watching from press box." |

Conacher does seem like the likely guy to get scratched when Bailey comes back though. Lee already has made an impact and scratching the fourth line guys doesn't seem like it really makes much of an improvement to the team. |
