If Ghost becomes Brian Campbell, as a third-round pick, that's an effing home run, upper deck
- AllInForFlyers

Agreed. Not saying he will be Campbell, but that's the kind of guy he potentially could be, if he reaches his ceiling.

i've watched Sanheim's games this year and I believe he is absolutely the best d prospect. It's rare when he's not the best player on the ice for either team when Calgary plays.

Last night was a strange case. Calgary scored 9 goals and he didn't factor in any of them. I think Fazleev finished with a goal and 2 assists.

- PhillySportsGuy

Sanheim had to serve a 10-min misconduct and Calgary had a barrage of goals. The ice time was spread around once the game became a rout.

Unless Ryan Whitney found the Fountain of Youth and it gave him two new legs, I sure hope it isn't him -- that guy looked done-like-dinner to me...two seasons ago
- AllInForFlyers

Yeah, I gave a "so what opinion " on Whitney, and got educated. He's lost 3 steps, and a couple people on twitter who saw him last year said he was washed, and I respect the opinions of those guys

Any thoughts on today's match? Outside of the Flyers, I'd say the Leafs and Wings are the teams I see the most of. On paper, average goaltending, average defense but the Wings always find away to stay competitive. All four lines possess the puck remarkably and they manage to execute the same system beautifully with less star power. We've gotta hit them hard.

He has the most raw power of anyone I've watched play and it shows my age but he really is.

Has he ever hit a cheap one? Ever?

Do the Flyers defensemen wear skate guards or fenders to protect their feet from getting hurt by hard shots?

If not, why?

He attempted a bunt in Wrigley Field and it carried 360 feet over the left field wall. Of course, the wind was blowing out a bit.

Collecting all of their strengths and weaknesses, I'd really like to know how the pairs could shape out as with Morin, Sanheim, Hagg and Gostisbehere. Who best compliments who.
- SuperSchennBros

The nice thing is that there is some interchangeability there. Figure Sanheim and Ghost will be the most offensive, and Morin and Hagg would be the most defensive of the group.

Morin's size obviously complements Ghost's lack of size so that is an option.

Sanheim could be paired with one of the existing defenseman in a #1 role. Or he could be paired with Morin down the road as a true shutdown pair.

It sounds like Hagg as the tools to be a solid #3/4 defenseman if he can work on his consistency issues. Hopefully maturity will help there.

A lot of it will come down to who stays out of the Streit/MacDonald/Coburn/Schenn group.

Carnival tickets went on sale today. Expensive as hell now that they combined photo and autograph tickets.

I vote for Coburn

In a few years:

Coburn-Sanheim
Morin-Ghost
Hagg-Alt

Make it so.

Makes sense, MDZ absolutely needs a steady vet to partner with and L Schenn will stand up for Ghost if needed

Only thing concerning moving forward is handedness... all the kids are lefties. Praying that Alt and Pettersson can become NHL players (or Luke can get his poop together)

I would have put Ghost with Schultz, but it's gonna be a poopty cake no matter how you break the eggs

I like the pairs but don't really see why Emery is starting. The first goal against Pittsburgh was as bad as any Mase gave up against Chicago.

Good point Tomahawk. I was gonna look it up, but I haven't finished my coffee yet so it seemed like too much work.
