Yea and Mitchell whimped out.
Mitchell should have made Wingels pay instead he held onto him like he loved him.

Maybe he does...

It is 2014 and I don't judge.

Like Rob Ray said. If it wasn't for RJ's response to the May Day goal. Brad May is just a below average NHL player

And to think they could have drafted Tkachuk instead.....

1. Andreychuk and there is no question. 640 goals and not a 1st ballot HOFer? We Buffalo fans have everything to do about that. They hated him and all he was, was our Phil Esposito.

It's your right to hate him but it is my right to call you a fool.

he is and will forever will be the most underrated Sabre of All Time. Followed very closely by Satan.

Should have been about 4 hooking calls on that possession alone.

2 more games for Reinhart, unless a decision comes earlier.

I initially thought he'd stay. I'm a bit more torn, at this point. I'm leaning towards them sending him back, now.

- grand-magus

Definitely, but who replaces him? Larsson or Grigofreakonator?

I say bring up Grig and Armia, send Sam down, and trade Stafford for anything (or waive the bum). Then, keep Grig and Armia up here no matter what happens, instead of having a revolving-door of pieces on a last-place team.

Larrson will get his shot at some point also.

I disagree about Andreychuk - I don't think he was underrated at all. I loved the guy when he was a Sabre and WNY thought very highly of him. I never even considered him when I came up with my list (Grier, Zhitnik, Luce, Tucker, Smehlik) because he was so highly rated. Smehlik was a guy that everyone hated, but he was totally underrated. All he did was provide steady defense. He wasn't flashy, (yes, he occasionally scored the own-goal from time to time !), but he could play the position well and that's all you really need. Smehlik may be # 1 on my list. John Tucker never got enough credit. Don Luce - A guy that I hated back then, scored 33 goals and 76 points on that 74/75 team ! I was just a 10 year old kid back then and didn't realize how lucky we had it to have a guy that - for the most part was a defensive specialist - nab those excellent numbers.

Someone said Khmylev - great choice. But he didn't crack my top 5 (he'd be at 6). And I agree with you about Satan - he'd be in the top 10.

Was half kidding, half serious.
So your talking about Ennis...consider who will becoming online over the course of the next two years...and they tried Ennis as a winger and he wasn't a good fit their...but again consider:
McEichel, Reinhart, Grigorenko, Girgensons, Compher, Larsons, Kea and whomever else is taken with remaining 2015 picks of 2-1sts, 2-2nds.
It was thought out.

- IonSabres

late response due to road trip.

i just think its going backwards, trading arguably our best offensive player and youre back at square one. There is little to no scoring at this point. I think were fine with 3 1sts this year (thats pretty ridiculous). Theres also the fact that draft picks dont even pan out but in your case i guess its a better chance to hit with 4-1sts. I understand the amount of talent that can be had through the draft and our prospects coming up but you also cant have a team of rookies.

Damien Cox said that he's most likely heading back to Kootenay on HNIC last night. This means he's probably staying.

I was looking primarily at mid to low end Sabre picks that carved out nice careers to come up with my list. From my recollection, these players weren't expected to do much and they were all successful in their own right.

Good points. To me, Ennis is going to be one of the odd-man-out when the rebuild takes hold. I too like him and realize in this team he is our best offensive player. That said, I look at him being key to a key component to getting another high draft pock in a loaded draft. Then GMTM could package a couple of those firsts to presumptive move even higher up ... .a be resulting in 2 of the top 5. That is a way to fill out your top 3 with elite talent. Ennis on a 1st or 2nd line is playing over his head compared to top teams in the league...I like him but he is expendable long term. Yes, it would hurt immediately...but ... Tank On!

Why? The stadium is a lot more full for all the games (percentage wise) than the Bills in Toronto series is.

okay fair enough, i like your points about moving up possibly and packaging the others for a top line player. I think ennis on a second line in the nhl isnt far fetched as hes a mid 20s goal scorer and what more could you ask out of 2nd liner. If it makes the team better in the long run im all for it. Im in HUGE favor of using one or two of our first rounders for a proven player because its desperately needed, a guy like couture would be a dream

We already have 3 picks in the 1st round. Enough is enough. We don't need anymore draft picks. WE NEED already established NHL players with high upside. You can't have a team that's full of rookies and 1-2 year pros.
