I get that the fourth line has been good but (frank) off Eakins they don't need poweplay time - ystoil

How so? - ystoil
I dunno.
ive noticed him a few times and that's a good thing I guess. but he just seems a little too panicky and not making the most of spots where a chance can occur.
hard to explain. hes just not doing what I keep waiting for to happen. make a play, dish the puck and go hard to the net and find usefull open space to let off a shot
I don't love him
eberle is really having a tough time making things happen and finding space, but at present, no way anyone can say yakupov is a better player than him |

Hmm. Fair enough
He makes fast decisions. He does it with his stick handling and passing. As the game slows down more for him I hope this becomes more of an asset. Maybe that's what you see as panicky
keep in mind he's playing with third liners, no slight to pouliot or arco

I hope the Oilers can score first, I have a feeling the wind will fall out of the Hurricanes sails very quickly if that happens. |

I'd agree with yak not being better but, this year I'm not sure you can say eberle is that much better than yak. As I said in the other post, eberle is playing with hall who he has chemistry with. Not an even comparison imo

Yak needs to do what a lot of the big scorers do, slide into the weak areas of coverage and one time the hell out of the puck when it comes to him. Stamkos is the master at it. |

Pouliot is good for him I think. Cycle game and all that. A gamer really.
Arco on the hand...well. |

I edited and tried to be clearer.
but yes, he makes quick decisions. but it just feels like hes so high energy and could be so much more effective once he understands exactly what he needs to do be a goal scorer. this is what we want of him.
the stronger defence is great as it was so bad before.
but we want him to be a true sniper first and foremost |

make a play to get the puck to get someone with room enough to get it back to him once hes found a seam |

Not great, we let them pile up shots and then we missed the net a bunch. We should have put one in by this point against a depleted and tired Hurricanes team. |

Id agree with this. I feel like we saw this more in his rookie year. He capitalized on opportunities
I think draisiatl will be the guy to compliment him well. We may have to wait another year or so. |
