Right... but we're talking about the D here. I think the OP was talking about waiting for someone to offer Boston what they need at a reasonable price, and that Boston could take on salary to make it happen - which doesn't make sense.

Now that I think of it, how would Boston even achieve a salary dump? Other than Kelly, which I assume you'd have to overpay someone to take, who are you going to move? If you move Eriksson or Marchand to free up space, will it really improve the team - no matter who you add?
