You could be right about Methot being the guy moved. I had forgot about Gryba havin another year left on his contract aftr this season.

Methot wld bring back a better return, but i think he resigns in Ottawa & Gryba is traded.

philly can't fit methot in under the cap.....so unless philly sends salary back, it's not an option.....and lets be honest here, ottawa won't take a salary dump unless the other asset is VERY good.

edit.....maybe a deal of methot + pick/prospect (prince or maybe dal 2nd) for matt read could work. beyond that, i can't see a deal being made involving methot.....atleast not with philly

If it were up to Philly fans or Tuna it would be a package involving Lecavelier + for Methot +.

we don't need Lecavalier, we already have Gryba.

I went to a B Sens-ice Caps a couple nights ago. Wideman looked really good. Dzingel has awesome speed. Pageau played really hard, always finished his check, got loads of TOI, ran the PP. Prince stood out the most. He was on the ice for 3 goals against IIRC. After the second goal he came to the bench yelling at Luke. I think he said can you put me on a better line. But he came out in the third period on another level. He was competing harder than anyone on the ice. Looked really good then. Also got some time with Pageau and Puemple.

Prince is a really solid prospect, but there's way to many other players who shadow over him in terms of being recalled. He deserves a shot to play in the NHL, I just don't think it will be with the Senators.

Let's do this trade, both Dman are benched, we improve our right side and NJ gets someone who can play NHL minutes

new jersey is as cash strapped as ottawa, and the salaries are way off.

i think player for player, that's a pretty good deal, both guys have lots of potential but need fresh starts, but other pieces would need to be added to make the money work.

Just stop.. Stop that right now!

In all seriousness, Turris >>> Brayden Schenn
Ceci & 2nd >>>> Luke Schenn

I appreciate your passion for the Sens, but man.. You have to be one of the worst arm chair GM's I've seen in a long time.

How bout them Bruins.. Tough loss losing Chara for 4 to 6 weeks.

Not sure I see Boston as a lock for the post season anymore. They'll most likely make it along with Pitt, Tampa, Montreal. And are the NYI for real?

Once agian a wide open eastern conference. I like Ottawa for a wild card spot.

Ottawa finishes 1st in the Atlantic, Boston misses the Playoffs. I've been calling all these out, they're not conclusive by any means but so far I'm doing pretty good.
