Plus they are hungrier

Which is the key reason

Coach has been eating everyone's sandwiches.

Is Schultz seeing pk time?
- Just5

Yes. He was on the ice in the final minute against the Pens with the Flyers holding a 1 goal lead.

Because he was -5 against the Ducks, in a game full of offense to the tune of 11 goals

His +/- will go back up

- Giroux_Is_God

I'm ready to pull the plug on him. If they can get a second round pick for him I would be thrilled.

More legit: preds or Isles?
- PhillySportsGuy

It's super close, but Isles for me on overall depth.

NSH gets the nod on coaching and the back-end, but man, their f-corps is ugly.

I agree. I just think it really hurts any potential trade value
- PhillySportsGuy

Bingo. You scratch him, and any trade value he has plummets. You're left with a lot of cap wingwangs sitting in the press box.

James Neal just needs to apply a little more eyeshadow, and that should be cleared up.

More likely Jack Adams winner? Lava, or Joey Buttaffuoco?

Regarding the goalies
To me Emery looks a little more confident right now especially when the puck is in the crease and loose.
Mase has lost a few pucks around his crease lately

I haven't lost confidence in Mase but at the moment Ray is playing a bit better

Yeah. If he starts being scratched, he's basically just a salary dump. Tbh, he might be a salary dump at this point. I wouldn't give up anything for him really.

I hate the idea of "Hockey .500". "Oh you're 10-10-10? Congrats for being at the .500 mark!" No, you lost twice as many games as you won. We can exclude shootout losses because they're not real hockey.

I think I might alternate them through the rest of this month. Ray has got to get a bit more run because he is playing well. Mason will get it figured out.

Neal has 5 goals. Malkin might be missing him more than he's missing Malkin

I agree. Mason has been average, Emery is been slightly above average. Only 5 games and 3 games played respectively though so it will take a lot more for me to lose confidence in either guy.

Malkin has 7 assists in 6 games so I think it's been an amicable split so far.

It grates me just to see Luke Schenn on the ice at this point, but I think you have to keep running him out there on the off chance that he finds his game.

I'd give it another couple of weeks before I start asking "should I bench Luke Schenn", but I don't know if Berube will. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Schenn was scratched when Coburn said he was ready to be back in the lineup.

It's not about winning, it's about point percentage.

10-10-10 = 60 possible points

10-10-10 = 30 earned points

How many times do we need to go over this. Every. Single. Year.

Good, the real you is back

Disagree about LSCHENN

Pair him with Amac and see

I like MDZ but the pairing with Luke is a best a work in progress and at worst good for a major F-up once or twice a game

I know, I'm talking about the PR stunt teams play. It's more of a pet peeve of mine than anything else. A way for teams to twist it that they're not really as bad as they are. It's Kool-Aid, if you will.

I wouldn't Be surprised either. If you ask me the best current lineup to win now, Im not sure Schenn is a part of it. This is assuming Coburn is back
