So who's on PP QB duty now? Streit, MDZ, and Alt?

Your choices are Schultz, Grossman, Schenn, and Alt. I think he wins by default.

I think Alt projects to be a Coburn type - big, mobile, excels when keeping his game simple, not incredibly physical

Read or Couturier will probably take Amac's spot.

This is the part that baffles me. He is the son of a former NFL lineman....physical should be in his DNA!

I had that thought too. I wonder if some of it is due to his time playing college hockey. I'm not sure that's a big a part of the game as it is in the other leagues. I also haven't watched him much as a phantom, so someone else may have a better idea of his physical play

Yes, but think about the leverage he could have in the crease by training with his father on how to move people in a short space.

He decided to be a QB, though... so I bet he couldn't throw a decent block to save his life.

That's 3 spots. I already had Jake pencilled in.

Line 1 - Streit / Jake
Line 2 - MDZ / ???

Would it be fair to say that Berube's a bit more conventional, and Hextall's a bit more progressive in their respective ways of thinking?
- Tomahawk

Yes, I'd say that's fair.

Maybe the Flyers should look into bringing in some former offensive lineman/coaches to work on leverage/power techniques. Could be good to get them better at clearing creases.

I mean martial arts training helps the meatballers learn to throw quicker and with more power...why cant our Dmen look to other sports to help them learn leverage.

Just read this on TSN's comments:

"Cobrun is a big loss. Not as much as Coburn, but still. :-/"

I'm not sure which Coburn is the real one.

Murray has been using him on power plays because he likes his shot and wants him to develop it more. I don't seen Alt on an NHL power play right now, though.

They could try to put Nick Foles on the 2nd pair.

Well Cobrun clearly has a cooler name than Coburn
