Agreed. You know what you're getting with a guy like Schultz. But I feel like the "7th defenseman" title has skewed his value a little bit. Maybe he is over achieving at the moment, but I think he is much more reliable than people give him credit for

Hopefully less jitters than he showed in the NHL preseason and more of the poise he's shown as he's developed in the AHL. Decent mobility, good size, can make the first pass, underrated shot (just learning how to use it). Less is more with him, though.

I'm not a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

My guess is, he pushed it and re-aggravated something or had it retested or re-looked at and they saw something they didn't see the first time.

It can get tricky with feet and ankle injuries. Push it too much, you can hurt it. They also seem easy to misdiagnose.

Even with today's news, I'm not sure the team is bad enough to get to draft #2. They theoretically could win the lottery...but really, this is Philly.

I think the fan fantasy target should be someone like Strome. He'd look great in 2 years as #2 center. Couts slots in as your 3rd line guy, and Laughton becomes an asset for a winger. When defense matures, they would potentially be in great shape.
