I have to admit, I don't follow the Sabres that much.
Is Myers available?
And if so, what kind of return are you guys looking for? Prospects and picks? Vets? Forwards, dmen or goalies?

I personally like the comparison of having Crosby and Kane in the same draft more. To adjust I'd rather say a comparison of having a lesser-Crosby and a greater-Kane (relative to their respective draft years). That's partially because you have a C and a W, but also because it's easier to compare Kane's and Eichel's USDP stats the year before their draft year (Eichel's are better).

Eichel had a better U20 tournament this year than McDavid did. I think that's a better indicator of where they two of them stand than anything else.

I don't think in the scheme of things Eichel is better, but I think he's a lot closer than some people like to think.

And just because he hasn't been as dominant as long as McDavid doesn't mean anything either. Kids all develop at different ages. Some take longer than others.

I won't be pissed if they land Eichel.

This year I'll be ecstatic for either one

For frank sakes read the whole conversation before you jump in with arguments that nobody is trying to make because you don't understand the context of the discussion. That's with reference to your statement that I bolded.

For the record, I agree with everything you said, I just don't like being forced into defending arguments I wasn't making.

No one guy is not. But Buffalo is not counting on that. When you have a guy who is the best, it makes things a hell of a lot easier for everyone else.
- ImThatGuy

I know. Crosby is a perfect example.

I did read the whole conversation. I was simply making a point. Wasn't really directed toward you. Chill. I understand just fine what the conversation is about.

Well apparently you missed the 'meaning' of the long-term dominance then. Because you clearly said it doesn't mean anything. When it actually explains why McDavid has been hyped for longer than Eichel, which was the entire reason that long-term dominance point was brought up in the first place...

Zadarov plays tonight and Reinhart sits . They are dressing 11 forwards and 7 defense men

If Myers moves it is for an overpayment . Something I don't see Chicago doing .

Our GM has stated that he'll listen to offers on anyone. The media is kind of pushing the idea that Meyers is being shopped. I think the reality is that when someone calls about Meyers, the asking price is high becuse we're not actively looking to get rid of him.

Don't like what I have to say? Then go back to the Montreal boards. It's pretty simple.

What kind of overpayment? 2 very good prospects and a high pick or established players?

IMO if it were to ever happen, it wouldn't be a package deal. It would be for someone Murray specifically wants that a young potentially great forward.

A top 6 forward , a top prospect and and high pick is the starting point I would think.

At this point who cares. Myers is what he is. If there is a great return dump him. Reason as article states we need dif. makers. Come one come all. The drive for Mceichel in full swing

I care, same reason why I care if we just "dump" Tyler Ennis

They can absolutely be a part of a winning team here.
