None of the guys leaving will command that much salary. Guys like Gionta, Moulson, Ennis, and Hodgson (assuming no trades) will be gone. The only salary void they'll really need to fill is Meszaros.
- buffalofan19

I think some of the contracts handed out this summer were meant to take up some cap space until the kids need to sign more contracts.mi dont expect to see moulson or gionta go anywhere for this reason. I think if we trade Hodgson, it will be for a player with a similar contract. I'd definitely like to see Grigo and Armia up here next year or after the deadline if we move 2 forwards.

Bob MacKenzie was on Edmonton 1260 this morning and compared Eichel to Getzlaf with more speed. If true, great #2 in the draft if that is where he goes
- GilPerreault11

That was my comparison for him way better getzlaf with Kessel jets ...

but he's so hard for a comparison he's a very Unique player and that's why it's so hard to find a comparison ..

Like i said people can Quote me on this in 9 years lol .. He will be the Best American born to ever play in the NHL

I assume we see a lot of new full time faces next year. Grigorenko, Armia, Carrier, Larsson, McEichel, Reinhart, Zadorov

Replace Kaleta, McComick, Mitchell, Stewart, Stafford, Benoit

Most of the guys are top 6 guys.

I haven't had time to look at the stats from the game. Did he not play at all? Or just limited time?
- SabresPanacea

I was at the game, and didn't notice him do anything when he was on the ice. Which isn't a bad thing. He wasn't out of position that I saw, and didn't go for a big hit that wasn't warranted.

I thought the misconduct on Stafford was a joke. The fight with Myers was okay, but he should have taken that guy down, not vice versa. I know Myers was trying to throw a punch before he went down and it was good to see him stand up for himself. I hope it gets better moving forward if he is going to add that to his arsenal.

I liked that Stewart was trying to hit everything that moved. He had a few great chances. I was right behind Quick twice and if he could have had a little puck luck, the outcome could have been very different.

Enroth impressed me last night. There was nothing he could have done on that Carter goal. I don't think he saw it at all. The Kopitar goal was bad, but that happens to every goalie.

Least amount of Sabre fans I've ever seen at a Kings game, by a lot.

Moulson and Gionta have no trade or no movement clauses, also.

At this stage, I doubt they want to uproot yet again.

Lost in all of that, if Kessel buries that open net instead of hitting the post, this is a completely different conversation. The teams were that close.

I feel like Pat Kane has something to say about that statement as well. 1st overall draft pick. Calder Trophy winner. 2 Stanley Cups. A Conn Smythe. And he's only 25.

Not the same. The Sabres were down in that series and would have had to play a game 7 in Dallas. Team USA wins the gold if he buries that shot.

Right, but we're not talking about how Ryan Miller "choked" in a big game situation either. The reality is, Kessel "choked" before Miller did.

Neither choked. Its the reality of the game. Especially in Millers case, Crosby took a very unexpected shot. It took all of us a few seconds to realize what happened.

Im sure that was part of the draw for them. Good money, cheap cost of living, and we promise this is your last team....heck, we might even be good before you retire!
