I like him but don't like the embellishment he does often, work ethic is great though, also like Helm. - LeafMan
i'd live with it if we could grab him for franson lol
i know i know.. my love for franson knows no bounds... but i could learn to live with it |

Leafs dont need him
hes a small scoring winger
we have those
nothing against him - just not a NEED if you ask me - Lucas Neilson
Agreed. Nyquist is a need for teams like Philly/Arizona/MTL. |

Much more quality ice time. They call him Justin Applicator for a single reason. Plug him into any line and he'll do a decent job. He's shakey with his shooting skills, but his net front presence, size, and hockey IQ make up for it. He's currently playing with Datsyuk and Zetterberg, so his stats are slightly padded, but Babcock does it for a reason. He's kind of like Clarkson in the respect that he's got an overall skill set for almost any situation when playing to full potential.. except that he doesn't fall down a lot. - YzermanIsTheMan
hmmm... we may be onto something here
i'll call nonis, you call holland

phili needing D why not go for one of their centers in the system
having nylander and another quality prospect would be grand going forward.
Scott Laughton looks like he will be good if u ask me

Eh. The way I see his embellishment is that he does his job well to draw penalties. He makes up for it by backing up his chippiness and assholishness.
Helm is a sprinter, love his ethic and IQ. I'd consider Helm our new Draper if he wasn't hurt all the time. - YzermanIsTheMan
Or Maltby. |

Yep. Its the fact that he works with any line or type of players that make him stand out compared to say, Franzen or Miller. |

I'm not saying I wouldn't be partying like it's 1999 if Nyquist was traded to the Habs.
But I fail to see what Mtl has in common with Philly and Arizona? |

Nothing besides having a potential 30 goal scoring winger who is gritty being a major plus. MTL is top notch compared to Philly or Arizona (outside of not having Giroux) |

Ok, I see where you're at. What about if you were to take Kindl (we retain 1 mil) , Abdelkader, 2nd, and 3rd for Franson/Lupul? I don't know if thats what you'd do, but I'm throwing out the starts to a trade. - YzermanIsTheMan
substitute Smith for Kindl, Abdelkader, Andrej Nestrisil, 2nd and Cleary (for salary) |

Franzen has 5 points in what? 3-4 games? - Scabeh
3 games I think, then he's injured. Again. And his past history of being EXTREMELY streaky hurts him too. If Franzen had Canadian or even American toughness in him, he'd be scarey as all hell. |

Datsyuk will miss another 10-15 games I think, he's just bumped all too hell. But wouldn't be surprised if he hits 65-70 games. Zetterberg has taken some hits and checks to his back that would cripple him last season so far. He's good for probably 70-80 if nothing major happens. |

Zetterberg is one of my favorite hockey players.
I'll never forget the finals vs the Pens when Detroit won their last cup.... he completely neutralized Crosby and still manage to be up enough points to be named MVP. |
