Toews stirs the drink in Chicago.
- robin_steele264

I don't think you can really point to one person. There are a lot of guys who lead the way.

Hossa, Keith and the word around here is Seabrook is the vocal leader in the locker room.

toews: 81 pts in 94 games in playoffs

kane: 91 pts in 93 games in playoffs

Kane is more clutch than toews in playoffs, and he won it for them too

- DougGilmour_93

And he scores more in the regular season and easily has more talent.

Toews wins bigger trophies.

Toews does it all. Everything you need from a hockey player in every situation.

Kane and Ovy and very fricken few can match that.

Toews also faces the tougher competition. I like having both on the team I root for.

Would you keep Kane over Toews if you had to choose?

Sorry, but at some point offensive stats matter a lot.

Oh yeah, he barely did anything in the 2010 finals and still won it.

So offense doesn't matter that much? Have you seen how hard it is to score goals?

This is the problem nowadays. People are valuing defense much more over offense.

Tough but a slight edge to Toews. Kane has matured into a much different person these days.

Toews is the more complete player though. Kane is much better as a two way player than he was a couple of years ago.

Honestly. They both complement each other and they push each other.

It's not a problem. People realize the value in a guy who can help your team in every aspect of the game in any situation.

When you win, they matter.

But when you lose, 39 goals doesn't make you elite.

He also doesn't seem to get that Toews faces everyone's best and still produces.

The Kings Hawks and Bruins won stanley cups without 100pts guys.

Offense means nothing if you can't keep the puck out of your net. You'd think a Leafs fan would have realized that a long time ago.

That's cause phaneuf isnt that good at it.

And last year you were telling everyone that phaneuf is a top 10 Dman and whatnot. So this wouldn't be the first time you've been wrong.

At the end of the day, both matter.

Like you said above it also goes the other way... defence means nothing if you can't put the puck in the net.

It needs to be a perfect marriage Marty.

Babcock in Vancouver was asked who was his best player.

He answered "anyone playing with Toews"

Tells a lot about what he brings to a team.

Here's the thing... Toews is that perfect marriage.
