Vanek is not looking any better. Wonder how long will they tolerate his lack of production in Minny - ziggy_skalica
They both wanted each other so they can stick it. |

I liked grabovski with Nelson and strome, definitely not a knock on grabovski. - Isles_since_6
Yeah thats true. They were great and it'd spread the scoring out. These injuries are stretching our depth. We need the two grabs back asap. |

Super happy we won but that third period was ridiculously bad for us. Have no idea how we won? Wtf was martin doing on the ice with 30 seconds left? I dont understand the thought process? We honestly had no business winning that game. - Cptmjl
None. Boston missed a bunch of beautify chances. |

Actually, I thought Strait had his best game of the season. - JohnScammo
He's OK when he has limited responsibility. Playing with deHaan allows him to just worry about who he's covering. He's a more reliable 7th d option to step in when injuries happen than Carkner, Donovan, or even a rookie, imo. |

Having difficulty finding something about conacher I like so far. Just doesn't seem to be worth keeping in the lineup at all. - Isles_since_6
I agree. He is not impressing me. |

Here's one good thing about Conacher..... He doesn't have a broken hand. Bailey's injury probably means Conacher will get used in Bailey's place.
Conacher did get robbed by that uncalled slash that ruined his breakaway. The guy has speed......and he's more feisty than Bailey......which I realize ain't saying much. |

I hate to pile on Crappy again but it's clear this team wins despite him. At least he called a timeout tonight.
What was up with the no call when Conacher got the stick slashed out of his hand on the 2-on-1? Ridiculous no call which was immediately followed by Kelly's goal. If Boston had tied this up I would have been livid. - potvin05
I thought Boston called the timeout. |

Agreed. Whatever positive he bought to that line has dissapated. Im thinking capuano will change that line up. Have to give jack a hand tonight btw. He called a time out. |

what a difference positional goaltending makes. I love Halak but with this kid in net tonight there was a certain confidence from a fans view that I have not felt in decades. - islesrbettr
It's hard not to feel good about Johnson's play. Seems very calm and confident. |

Clutterbuck hit the post on a nice feed in the third, Kulemin couldn't get the puck to sit on a gimme, Nelson misfired on another gimme from Okposo, Svedberg made some good saves...the Isles had their share of chances as well and could have put up more than 3. I wouldn't say they had no business winning that one. |

Thought they played a good theitt orforty minutes and the bruins took it to them in the third. When the opposing team is doing line changes in your zone a few times its usually not a good sign . Happy we got the two points. You are right though they were taking it to the bruins for a bit there too but we were getting completely dominated too long for this fan |

Boston also hit some posts and missed at least 2 wide open nets with 5 minutes left. The Isles got the breaks tonight. I'll take it but they are lucky to squeak out the win. |

Crappy called it after the 4th line was gassed and iced the puck with like 6 minutes left. It was needed. I was shocked he actually called one. |
