i dunno man.....his skating definitely improved. I did however like kulemin on the first line last night. - kindlyrick
It really has improved but I just don't think he could keep up with JT & KO just my opinion, I wouldn't complain if they put him up there |

I noticed boychuk & Leddy out with the 4th often. How does the top D pairing end up covering the 4th line? What happens when 1st offensive line goes out? - jmo16
Two other defensemen go out with them? |

Chara out 6 weeks... A-mack out 4 weeks. we are not the only ones with injuries. - niteislander
chara is huge loss. that will impact Bruins in standing for sure. Especially b/c we have their 2nd best dman now.

3 sets of dman, 4 forward lines. Top Defensive pairing gets the most mins. |

As much as I liked Kuli skating with them... I really want a Finisher in that spot. Kuli had at least 3 golden oportunities that he missed the net. |

Kuli is better in that spot than Conacher. Still both are not the best options. I'd give Lee a look at this point. |

true... scary how great Conacher looked that first game. He has gotten progressivley worse every game. |

Conacher has dropped off. I see Conacher as more of a bottom 6 guy. |

I have noticed that Grabo has been a spark plug for that line. I really like what he has brought to the table so far. |

I think given the strong game Clutterbuck had I would try him again on 3rd line on bailey's spot.
and play Boulton on 4th line.
Sucks Bailey hurt. He has been one of our better players this year. That tap in goal by Nielsen last night was all Bailey.
I have to say, thank god for depth. Rag Fans crying about Stepan but we have had way too many injuries too early in season.
I say you have to give Johnson the start again tomorrow. He earned it. Isles fell asleep in 3rd last night. He bailed us out bigtime. - Spartiarti

It's gonna be interesting if they get all these forwards healthy at some point. This is why you need depth |

Best defensive pair usually plays with the best offensive pair, no?

I wouldn't say that's true. Don't you usually want your best D pair out against the other teams top unit? You're not going to put JT's line out there you're most likely gonna put Nielsen out there no? |

Imagine how screwed we would be without that depth. And I don't mean mcdonald or Conacher. |

I thought the same thing till the 3rd period. He was awful during their 10 minute 5 on 5 power play. - niteislander
Yeah...Strait's shortcomings are evident when quickness is of the essence (not speed, although that is crap as well)- when he's got to recognize something and "head it off at the pass", as the saying goes. His defensive awareness is equivalent to Bailey's offensive awareness. Of course, when you're a defenseman, and your defensive recognition is crap, you're wholly worthless. |
