Flyers own his rights, if he ever wants to go pro, he'll have to come back into the fold... but yeah, he's a 21-yo beating up on teens in the meantime.

Exactly. If they go into Chicago and play their asses off, and simply get beat by a better team. Then I can live with that. But I can't deal with the effort they gave in that game, or the effort's like the 3rd period in the Montreal game.
- MJL

You agree with me? I may have to reconsider my stance.

Yes, because this board was full of people optimistic about last night's game. I honestly felt the Flyers were going to get thrashed.

Sorry I'm not ranting and raving about how "Cindy" (what are you, 12?) cries all game long.

- jmatchett383

You should be sorry: Was that your "sarcasm"? The "Flyers would need a 60-minute powerplay to be competitive. This team is a mess right now. I'm predicting 6-2 Penguins."
If you so scared why don't you get a dog. We all know that Flyers are not where we would like them to be, but to run to Pittsburgh board to show them how pc you are just makes you a lousy fan

I wear Malkin underwear and have Crosby sheets. My wall is decorated with nothing but finely-crafted custom Penguins oak engravings and I wipe my butt with Giroux toilet paper.

Like I said, you got me: all these years, I've been a Penguins fan.

B the way, 6-2 was the lowest score I expected last night. 7-1 was my initial prediction around the office yesterday morning.

Also, I've been posting on the Pitt board for over 2 years because they're my second favorite team.

He was going to come to camp and hope to earn a two-way deal. He got the injury and couldn't compete.

Should have just signed the deal and played his way into a two-way deal. Not sure how playing against 16-20 year olds in Western Canada will help his game.

His only "finish" so far was reaching his stick out and chipping a puck over a goalie which he admitted was done out of exhaustion. Let's not get carried away and annoint him the next Rocket Richard.
- jmatchett383

All True...I guess I am extrapolating what I see as his better puck control & movement skills to having better finish ability. Point taken.

The AHL deal would have probably seen him sent to Reading... aka likely career dead end. Maybe going back to junior and putting up gaudy numbers will pay off for him.

I think really both players play a sound all around game and skate and pursue the puck well. And both have added elements to the Flyers that were sorely needed. If either of them, can grow as point producers, the Flyers will have two pretty good players on their hands.

Need to get Lecavalier back and put Bellmare back in the 4th line center spot.
- MJL

That will help the 4th line a lot.

Not so sure it will help BSchenn and Simmonds have dominant Corsi nights like they did yesterday.
