Yes... legitimately Iranian and legitimately a former Olympian as well as a Pan-Am games gold medalist (after moving to the USA) as an amateur wrestler.

Drugs of all sorts -- crack, painkillers, etc -- and alcohol abuse are what make him act so crazed and loony. This documentary was filmed when he was sober, and it's a whole different person.

I will check that video out when I get home. It's really a shame to see what has become of wrestling icons like Scott Hall, Jake Roberts etc... I don't think people realize the type of lifestyle these guys live. On the road 300 days a year. People think because wrestling is "fake" that it's not taxing. Couldn't be further from the truth. The outcomes are scripted, but the physical aspect of professional wrestling is far from fake.

I wonder if John Stossel regrets asking David Schultz if wrestling was fake.

Just because it's scripted doesn't mean these guys can't murder you with a flick of their wrists.

Yep. Imagine if a guy like Andre got his hands on someone? Forget about it.

Who would you take in a fight? 12/13 Rinaldo or 08/09 Cote?

Wasn't Cote like 220-225? He's much bigger than Rinaldo. But then again Shelley is much bigger than Dereyk Engelland.

He's got the size, but Rinaldo has quicker hands and I think is a better tactician.

Yeah. I never thought Cote was that good of a fighter. For whatever reason, Rinaldo is able to handle himself vs just about anyone.

I feel Rinaldo throws too much with his his head down which is why similar size guys like Mike Brown would eat him alive. He punches with good power, but technique could be better.

I love his willingness and intensity though

I hope you stub your toe in the middle of the night tonight after you get up to take an emergency poop because the Thai food you ate at the American restaurant gave you ebola's cousin Toilettebola (which gives you intense cramping and unimaginable poops) because they didn't properly prepare your food because the owner is a Flyers fan and you had on a Pens shirzey even though grown men shouldnt wear shirzeys and here I go being politically inccorect (and now grammatically) pissing people off because the world is so PC and what have you.

I feel like the ultimate resulting pox wished upon me there in the form of the stubbed toe would be the least of my concerts in that situation.

The last 3 pages tell me we won last night.

The thread is always on tangents after a win.

I watched it regularly in middle school. I would tape it if I couldn't watch it that night. My friend and I accidently taped over his little brother's Bar Mitzvah video. I'll never forget sitting down with his family to watch his brother's Haftorah only to press play and see X-Pac delivering a Bronco Buster.

He's been ok. But I won't cry if others get a shot next to G or if he gets traded.
