Few tweaks of the system and breaking bad habits of players and pens are fine..
Oh ya have to get rid of the dead weight |

These players continue to make dumb decisions. They don't have it within themselves to play smart hockey. It took one f*ck up after another to lose that game. - madmike71
New coaches same mistakes, this roster needs a shakeup. Not sure what that entails but clearly they don't believe there are any consequences for lazy stupid play. |

I don't know what kind of Coach Johnston is, but this team needs a healthy dose of Mike Therrien. |

Tocchet was brought in for a reason. I hope it wasn't simply for Downie. |

Can we get our captain to stop taking stupid penalties and waking the other team up when everything was calm and going the Pens way? Is that too much to ask? - Deadstar
We'll take him |

He's been pretty much invisible for the last two games. |

Besides Kunitz goal I haven't noticed him. Goes into corners and skates right by the dman instead of taking the body. Always seems a step slow behind the play. |

He was noticeable in the 3rd taking a dumb penalty and waking up the crowd and energizing the other team. |

That was really a selfish play. Lots of selfish players at the moment. I mean what the hell were they doing on that empty net. You don't try to score at all costs there. |

Really. 5 shots, fought in the corners, back checked. I don't mind the dumb penalty, shows he cares, but he's frustrated about something. I will say in a game like tonight between 18.2 mil, I expect more than an assist between 87 and 71.
Kunitz and dupes are old. |

71 is way too lazy way too often so far this season. Not a fan at all of his play. Therrein sat PK for over half a game, why do our coaches never do that? Why is he out there with an empty net? Sutter goc and Sid are all better defensive centers. |

Little shake up is good. Martin for picks or package for top 6 winger, same with sutter,
Scuds for pick, waive adams don't care about the money for him. Bring back kap sund and megna drop sill and just wait for bennett to get hurt again |

A shake up is needed but sutter has been one of our best players and certainly one of the hardest working. Not sure that's a good move. |

Been saying that for years. But I know the cap keeps going up and when he's 35 it'll be a bargain. |

Too early to be talking like that, but the coaches need to correct a lot of bad habits and instill a little discipline. |

Bridges seem to be a bit full tonight. So much for judging this team by playoff success. I guess learning how to play the right way needs to be pushed aside for October wins. I'd rather be .500 in December and learn about this team than be leading the division and hide what really hurts us.
Other than that, I'm very happy with Sutter's overall play. He is definitely growing into a much more expanded role.
Playing like this with a new coach and new players is a teaching tool. You don't learn to be champions again overnight. This team is going to need to build character and you brought in new coaches to force that.
Also, take notice that it is the seasoned vets doing this. Sid, Geno, Letang, even Martin. Takes a while to break habit. |

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet...I'm not a Malkin basher, ever....but lazily changing lines in overtime really pissed me off.
I don't think they need Therrien...that's what Tocchet is for.... |

Dupuis showed a lot more energy and skill then a lot of the younger players tonight. Other than his gaff in the last minute I thought he was the best Penguin on the ice tonight. |

Not going to panic, but no excuse for not working hard. Would like to see Tocchet play bad cop. Would like to see a shakeup with a trade and getting rid of the dead weight as mentioned above....but it has nothing to do with two losses in October....felt we've needed that since the day after free agency. |

I really like the energy younger players bring...we just dont have any good ones on the team. Sill is awful. Surely Megna is a better option, no? |
