Healy took took the Tard Talk to a whole new level last night . It seems to me like the analyst panel has taken the worst of sportsnet and CBC and put them all at one table. Elliot Freidman must sit down, take a look around and wonder where his career is going to be surrounded by such total morons like Kypreos, McLean and Healy. - Jeropotato
hey now be nice........I love MacLean. One of the best hockey minds on any panel. Tells it like it is. |

Dont get me wrong. I was a huge Cooter fan. Still am. Still feel he should of went higher in the draft. He was a dominate Junior player. But if his ceiling is now that only of a 3rd line center. There is noway he is worth a top 6 winger. At this moment he is a lesser Jordan Staal. Does he fill a need for EDM. Absolutely. I just dont see how the value is fair. I see how each team would love Couts. I just dont see it as even. - poisondhearts37

I don't think his ceiling is a 3rd line C. The guy put up huge pts in Junior and is awesome defensively. He put up 40pts last year on the third line... Let's not forget he's also only 22.
While he hasn't started as hot as Berergon did, I could see him projecting to be a Bergeron type player... Who wouldn't want that? For Ebs, I'd pull the trigger simply because we need C's and we're stacked down the right side; it might not be even value-wise now, but I think it'd pay off in a yr or two. |

Well yeah, that's the thing I find funny. Everybody seems to hate on EVERY one of them and this goes back over the years. I mean they can't be right all the time ffs.
Frankly, most of them are a lot better on radio when they have a little more time to get out there points and explain. Healy is actually good on radio - tells it like it is.
I just think he goes a little off the wall on TV, flies off the handle. |

its so bad its almost worse than mcdonalds. I can't eat anything there outside of 2 timbits or an 'everything' bagel with butter. - ChetManly
I have no idea why I get the TH morning biscuit pap. Tried one on again on the way up to Creemore this past weekend. Pretty vile.
You're in ON yeah? Have you been checking out the more cottage/ rural areas around the GTA lately? It's a fukking Dr. Suess autumn diorama. Beautiful is an understatement.
Hunting, bourbon and saunas also give reason to get up there. |

I know he could turn out to be more than a 3C. But as of right now that is what he is. He has played in a higher role in Philly in the past couple of years. But as of right now. Eberle is a top 6 player. I know Couts is still young. But now your talking about giving up Eberle for what might be a 2C. Eberle is your best RW right now. Yak could take that role. Maybe. You still dont even know he is capable of playing with Hall. Purcell isnt that good. Perron can play both sides.
I just dont feel its a fair trade. Sure it fills a need. Its would def be a hockey trade for EDM. I also fail to see how Philly needs Eberle. |

Yes very true. Anybody can sound like an idiot with 30 secs of TV time. I love Hockey Central @ Noon, MacLean and Millard just give it to Kyperos.
I've never really been a fan of Healy mainly because he's so negative and angry all the time. |

Can't always trade at the present; there's some risk involved, but I don't think it's that risky anyways.
You've probably seen Eberle's biggest season: 70 pts playing as a 1RW. Don't get me wrong, pretty great season.
Couturier has been played in a shutdown role, primarily on the 3rd line, with next to garbage linemates outside of Read. He's already put up 5 pts in 7 games this season. Not to mention his off-zone starts. If you wait until Couturier is "worth" a 2C then he is not getting traded for anything... He's also puts forth a huge effort, something that Eberle (and the Oilers outside of Hall) has been lacking for a season or so. |

Doesn't really make sense for Philly.. Just saying if it was on the table I'd pull the trigger. |

Trading one of JE14 or NY10 will not sit well with majority of Oil fans, the return will not suit their eye unfortunately.
Can't believe I'm gonna say this, but I agree with Healy.... trade them both.
Our top 6 are too much alike, perimeter danglers that want to score on one timers from the outside far too often.
I'd love to have Couturier, in my mind... he's what we need. |

Yah I love Ebs, but at this point, he's expendable and worth a lot more than Yaks... I don't know that I'd trade them both, but certainly one would make sense. |
