Yep, agree. I said pretty much that on this blog the day of the hiring.
Agree on Raanta too. Not nervous at all.

Why not? He looked pretty good the preseason game I saw him play.

If this were in Philadelphia - do they have a video of Kate Smith singing "Oh Canada"?

That's fine. Should St. Louis feel like running Raanta and nobody feels like stopping them then he might get a chance sooner. Whatever, I'd like to get a better look at him.

Or it could simply be a case of the Waite's method suit Corey's strengths. Although I thought Raanta looked much better technique wise last night, too

Yeah, he was quick to the play, but I still would like to see him gaining more rebound control.

The guy is very quick and rubbery, and it may be a mixed blessing that Crawford needs some time.

Seems doubtful to me (but I don't follow that many social media outlets) that anyone who knows very much about hockey is either criticizing Crawfod's play this year or calling for a "goalie controversy".
- StLBravesFan

And yet here we have Rick Morrissey on the 5:30 CSN show yesterday. First words out of his mouth: "Who do you choose, CC or Raanta?" (frank)ing media ... they know two things: Stir controversy and create controversy. No original thought, no comments on Raanta's play, Kaner's 2 PPG, TVR's solid rookie game, decent PK, nothing. Just trying to stir the pot.

Rozy looked good partially because the Flyers don't have that much team speed that would expose his relative lack thereof. He doesn't win many races to pucks.
- TheTrob

Well, watched the Flyers last night in Pitt, they didn't look slow to me, unless of course the Pens are a extremely slow team. Also, that's the second night of a back to back on the road.

Maybe some of that "lacking team speed" had to do with comparison to the Hawks "team speed".

To be fair to me, I did say "anyone who knows very much about hockey".

Oh and in case anyone is wondering: posts wiil be deleted and people banned for grossly (and completely unnecessarily) violating the code of conduct.

I know most here appreciate that fact.

Won't say he 'caused it' but he sure had no issue spouting that crap first and foremost.

And before you could "make this poop up", I heard a couple goal-song-dancers already saying this on the way out of 1901 W. Madison St. Tue night. I asked them if they had some dope to share with me and all I got was a blank stare.

Not having seen the program - and finding it hard to believe that any knowledgeable sportswriter would seriously say there was a goalie controversy - I must ask if Morrissey asked the question seriously, or sarcastically, and did the rest of the panel take it seriously?

Or did it have to do with Chicago's possession game advantage not letting the Flyers' speed show?

Except for the game here, they've been scoring very well.

I didn't see it either. I saw it on social media. A tweet I got directly and some stuff in my FB feed. And yes, it was serious.
