It just goes on and on and on....Crawford not this...Crawford not that...
All he does is win and come up big when needed...
Goals in regulation so far: 2, 2, 1, 1 He is the reason they got those pts in 3 of those games!!
For the $$'s and peformance I will take Craw over the goalie "expert" darlings of Rask, Quick, Price.... - bogiedoc
Crawdaddy has been excellent+ so far

Seems doubtful to me (but I don't follow that many social media outlets) that anyone who knows very much about hockey is either criticizing Crawfod's play this year or calling for a "goalie controversy". |

The Hawks are just so solid a team. Even early in the season, with Richards adding next to nothing so far, and with the defence playing some young blood with Leddy gone, still this team dominates.
They are 4-0-1. The game they lost was in overtime and they outshot Calgary 50-18. As a matter of fact they have dominated probably 12 or 13 of the 15 periods they have played. The regular season is really a tune up, a time to try to find the right line combinations and to see what young guys to stick with, and which are expendible.
As long as they don't get complacent...or encounter 2-3 major injuries...the Hawks are simply competing internally to see how to gel as perfectly as possible heading into the playoffs.
Great time to be a Hawk fan, Has been for 6 or 7 years. And will be for several more yet. Keep it going Hawks!!! Fun to watch. |

Tor- Ott game canceled due to the shooting at Parliment. Hearts out to Ott and the soldier killed there. - Cup-Bearer
People f'n suck.. what is up with that shooting crap? Glad I live in the back 40. Society be losing it. Happy for Raanta and the Hawks, but waking up to that story dimmed the day a bit. |

I just wanted to wish our Canadien brothers well and hope that they are staying safe. Our thoughts are with the RCMP, the family and friends of the fallen soldier and all of those affected on this sad day. - stljam

I never said that it wasn't.
However, it's relating to a subject that will invite political debate, among other things.
Let's steer clear of that, please. |

It wasn't here that I saw the comments...not saying people here were not saying that, I was just going with what I saw on twitter and other places...And yes, Crow should be the #1 and still is...He didn't have the greatest of playoff performances last year, but I'm sure he has it in him to prove everyone wrong, and am sure he worked this summer to get better....also there has to be a reason Jimmy Waite was brought in to be the goalie coach and Weeks being removed after only one year...I can't believe no one ever made more news of that
JJ,Al,Wiz,6628... you ever hear anything that Crow or Raanta or Q weren't too happy with Weeks? - captainserious
Maybe! Maybe the LA series could be questioned. But without Crawford's stellar play in the first two series. The Hawks don't even make it to the LA series.
And I am not a Crawford fan either. But I call a spade a spade. And Crawford deserves credit for getting the Hawks to the Western conference finals. |

This is not going to end well for Ray Emery, I fear - they're going to have to carry him off the ice crying "too many pucks, too many pucks...." |

Danault finally have two solid linemates in Carey & Hartman and it just became Tuevo time in Rockford ... as he scored his first goal. |

Philly's D is so so bad. And costly for how much they suck. Ray was a little off his mark on that first goal. |

Pretty asinine if you ask me to not have one of your better prospects playing with some decent linemates instead of face punchers. |

There's no controversy...Craw has really been this team's MVP to this point starting with opening night in Dallas. Do I wish he was making a mil less against the cap - sure.
Meanwhile its nice to see Raanta off to a nice start here. Hope Darling gets a start while he's up as well in front of his home town here. |

I got nuthin. But I know Crawford and Waite are familiar with each other. They're both french canadian. It might just be that Waite is a better fit under the circumstances no matter who played D in front of Weeks. |

IT possibly was to cause a line mismatc and spread the hog attack, and they figured he was a good stand alone guy, and happy to see he got quality pivot time.
Regardless of what position he ends up playing as he advances you want him exposed to all situations as he builds his resume, I guess.

Or it could simply be a case of the Waite's method suit Corey's strengths. Although I thought Raanta looked much better technique wise last night, too |

TVR, side stepping that kamikazee check attempt was awesome - BlazinMike
Saw that too, Mike. It was slick...almost Kane-like. TVR slips big hits much better than Hammer did when he came up. I didn't think our favorite Viking was going to survive his first season they way he absorbed punishment. |

Yep, agree. I said pretty much that on this blog the day of the hiring.
Agree on Raanta too. Not nervous at all. |
