He was gifted two of those goals. And no matter what Konroyd says on the first. Seabrook has to make sure he had weak side help before committing. - Elbows15
Saad can't pull pins on grenades either.

Agreed.
Still, head down does not make it ok for a head shot, right? |

He has had a few already but he really has fit in well and I think he might have found a home. He is off to a great start. Now what do you guys want for Sharp? - Vukota
Matt Martin PLUS 1 of: Anders Lee or Kyle Okoposo or Brock Nelson. My preference is Lee. |

I had no problem with the hit. Seabs was finishing his hit like he's done his whole career. He was judged to have taken a liberty and was penalized accordingly. But everyone knows Seabs plays the game hard and clean. |

You have no problem with the hit because it was on Backes.
If Toews or Kane is hit like that, you would feel completely differently. Be honest. It was a bad hit, but you don't care because it was Backes.
I don't think Seabs is dirty. But that was a dirty hit. Doesn't mean that he wasn't looking or is always looking to have dirty hits. |

I have no problem with the hit no matter who it was. Backes was slumping just as Seabs arrived or he might have absorbed it fine.
You are correct. I don't like Backes, but i hate to see any player in the fog that he found himself in.

Get a grip man. Patrick Sharp is a perenial 30 goal scorer, nearly a point per game player, an NHL all star, and Olympic Gold medalist, and has two stanley cup rings.
You want him? You're going to have to pony up and get real. |

If sharp for lee + martin was what chicago wants, the deal would've been done already. Nelson or okposo...not a chance. |

Wrong. The reason why such a deal hasn't taken place is because Sharp gives the Blackhawks a better chance to win this year, keeping the band together, if you will. Lee and Martin would be greater assets for the long term but would be downgrades for the current cup campaign.

I hear ya, but he is also going to be 33 years old and won't be getting any better only worse as he gets older. I wouldn't blame you for wanting Okposo or Nelson but that would never ever happen. If the missing piece for the Isles was Sharp and he would put them over the top I might do it for Lee but they aren't that close yet so I don't see them moving Lee for a 33 year old aging forward. They would probably want someone younger who can play for more then a year or two with JT & KO going forward |

Patrick Sharp is 32. He's not 33 until December. Additionally, what you're talking about here is speculative. "Won't be getting any better, only worse as he gets older." His production hasn't fallen off yet. If there was going to be a serious decline, it would have started to happen by now. Sharpie takes excellent care of himself, any of these guys who know the Hawks' can you tell you that he is always one of the best conditioned players, right up there with Hossa.
He also brings the intangible things that every serious cup contender needs to put them over the top: WINNING experience and leadership.
Lee(potential 2nd line winger) and Martin(3rd/4th line guy) for Sharp and I would pull the trigger. I would possibly throw in a mid level prospect or pick. |

It was a bad hit, no question.
But if that had been Tarasenko in the corner, or Steen, or Pietrangelo, or any number of other players the hit never would have happened. What goes around, comes around. End of story. |

Lets be real here, if sharp was as godlike as youre making him out to be, you wouldn't be trying to move. I understand your over the cap but if sharp provides all this at his cap hit which is still a discount for what youve described then why not move bickell or hossa or others? |
