You would think EDM and NSH could get together to send a forward in exchange for one of Josi, Jones, or Ellis.

In my opinion, until the Oilers completely wipe clean the whole front office and the whole system. No matter how many high draft picks they get they're still going to suck because they play like this:



Good team defense is the bare minimum in the NHL these days. Nobody in Edmonton has seemed to realize this for a long long time. Until you get a front office that demands it, a coach that teaches it, and players that play it you can't even begin to compete.

I definitely see this but it's been long enough for both clubs that they should realize a pretty big shakeup needs to be made.

It's just really strange to watch as a third party.

Ellis would be the only one they would consider moving.

Because it's his job to hire the staff that will put good defence in place. He is required to "Manage", he's responsible for making sure everything is executed properly below him.
