Agree with this... but what does the 2015 1st rounder (likely top 10 pick with lotto potential)) get you/worth?? - saskoil21
with mcdavid and eichel at the top, and the oilers sucking this bad out the gates....
one hell of a lot.
probley more than what Yak is worth. |

Hall has the most value on the Oilers if you were to ask me. (out of the 3 Eberle for sure though i agree if thats what you meant)
what about not trading any of them and trading the first round pick? which would have huge value...just a thought. - Lucas Neilson
I cannot see any 2015 picks being traded at this point. imagine being the GM that traded away the pick that was used for McDavid. |

What has it gotten historically? i can think of Cory Schneider (for the 9th overall) as being a recent one, but that is likely skewed by the situation Vancouver was in |

I said COMPLETE answer and that they are only part of the problem, some of the blame has to fall on the players and coaches.
Not sure what's so crazy about that statement |

GM's are going to see EDM - 1st rd pick, bad start and McDAvid/Eichel at the end of the tunnel.
It will get much more than Schneider. |

EDM needs some vets. Maybe also a couple prospects so they could also perhaps chase the top pick.
How about this (assuming they can get guys to waive NTCs)
To BOS: Eberle, 3rd round pick, low range D prospect
To EDM: Lucic or Marchand, Spooner/Koko/Subban (pick 1), a low end prospect and this year's First rounder.
The B's get their top 6 right-shooting RW, the Oilers get a vet, top 6 fwd, an NHL ready prospect, a project, and a 2nd first round pick to potentially package for one of the top 2 picks.
As a joke, if you'll give us Ference back, we'll let you have Bartkowski and 2 of the prospects listed. I miss Ference. |

Vancouver was offered a higher pick than 9th by the Oilers- they were foolish not to take it... but regardless Edmonton wont have the 9th overall pick this year... its like a higher pick... |

Or waiting for draft day and trading the #1...Remember the haul Quebec got for Lindros? That package allowed Colorado to win cups. |

like mact u mean? hes only had the job for just over a year and has completely turned over the garbage fire he inherited. more active than any tenured gm in that time.
cant attract star free agents. cant get stars to waive ntc. has to sign and then overpay for secondary players. and hope they make enough of an impact. all the while waiting for a core of kids to develop.
or we could trade one of them for some 3rd line plugs that many people suggest of course....
and the 11% of people who voted to trade nuge are clueless |

I don't think i do this, not because i overvalue Eberle, but because the return is not what we need most. Top 6 Center or Top 3(?) defenceman. That is what we should be targeting if trading away someone like eberle.
