They can do what they want. All I'm saying is, you can't say problems with the team and the way they're coached can't be blamed on the GM. It's all his responsibility.

Good post. But to be fair, the Sedins were getting 13-14 mins a game back then.

We have little to nothing in our system right now that screams N.H.l player.marincin was a nice pick , but almost all of their other picks are below the curve.

What are your expectations for The 2nd and 3rd round picks ? History shows only something like 20% of all 2nd rounders make the NHL and less for the 3rd round and so on.
If you expect to have a Zetterberg in every other draft you're being a touch unrealistic.

I am hardly a crazed fan. This was a response to your post about Eberle's ceiling. According to you this is a a good as it gets for the kid isn't it?

There are plenty of issues , and I'm not opposed to making (FAIR) trades, but selling low on these guys is poor asset management.
Now dishing off the future draft picks and so e decent farm hands is so ething I am firmly behind.

I think if you can draft 1.5 NHL'ers a season over a 5 year span your doing pretty good.

I cannot see any 2015 picks being traded at this point. imagine being the GM that traded away the pick that was used for McDavid.

Gaudreau was a 4th rounder too but we'll see if he is able to live up to the hype. Giordano too although he went un-drafted... there are a (few, very few) examples but it does happen
