Let's be honest, right now nobody is in a hurry to give up something for Yakupov. - Alexzanki
And we dont want to trade Yak either... He is easily our top 3 best players on the team this year and considering his pt totals, ice time and who he plays with he could likely be leading this team... When you play 2 mins in each of the 1st and 3rd periods on the 3rd line because of a dumbass coach what the (frank) do you expect?? |

EDM needs some vets. Maybe also a couple prospects so they could also perhaps chase the top pick.
How about this (assuming they can get guys to waive NTCs)
To BOS: Eberle, 3rd round pick, low range D prospect
To EDM: Lucic or Marchand, Spooner/Koko/Subban (pick 1), a low end prospect and this year's First rounder.
The B's get their top 6 right-shooting RW, the Oilers get a vet, top 6 fwd, an NHL ready prospect, a project, and a 2nd first round pick to potentially package for one of the top 2 picks.
As a joke, if you'll give us Ference back, we'll let you have Bartkowski and 2 of the prospects listed. I miss Ference. - bruins8680
ference for bartkowski and a prospect?
done.
id be extremely interested in a deal for lucic and ebs.
how about yaks/lucic. add where needed?

He could stand there like an anchor and let the wingers come in and try and grab the puck. Should work no? |

Thing is with Myers, the return would have to be extreme (Straight from the GM) He turned down a top 10 pick last year for him.
So Myers is like Yak in terms of Trade value V Actual value.

not established enough at this point in my opinion.... also he would just add to the oil kings players in our system and people seem opposed to that.

absolutely an option
another bottom feeder season is literally the worst thing that could happen to these core of kids than have known nothing but losing.
even if does result in a CHANCE at mcdavid. if we go that route, we're basically starting over imo.
I think if the season is at the edge, and don't feel like one of ebs or yaks alone can get us that true impact stud defender, add in the first. (I wouldn't hesitate to add it in)
that package has absolutely got to be able to bring a pretty decent fish |

Works for me. As long as he brings his hate for the habs and turns it into hate for nucks and flames. |

im not the opposite per se as Id consider either.
but id rather trade yaks.
at this point, ebs is more proven. no ifs ands or buts about it.
people can say we've seen improvement (and we have. unlike last year, hes not a total disaster liability in his own end) but im still seeing issues here and there.
both are a gamble to move, but until proven otherwise, banking on yaks as our star 1rw going forward is a bigger gamble |

Where would you rank Pysyk + Foligno in terms of value to the Oilers. |

so more than ebs for myers?
then no. myers is more of a question mark at present than ebs. plus adding more? theres no chance of that happening |

Tough to say. I like Foligno, but really only have his world juniors experience to draw from. How has he been in Rochester?
Pysyk again i only have his Oil Kings history to draw from and what i saw of that he was behind Lowe and Griffin Reinhart in my opinion |

uneducated opinion
like mact u mean? hes only had the job for just over a year and has completely turned over the garbage fire he inherited. more active than any tenured gm in that time.
cant attract star free agents. cant get stars to waive ntc. has to sign and then overpay for secondary players. and hope they make enough of an impact. all the while waiting for a core of kids to develop.
or we could trade one of them for some 3rd line plugs that many people suggest of course....
and the 11% of people who voted to trade nuge are clueless - hugefemale dog77
No as in a history of poor pro-scouting, poor drafting, poor development of those picks and rushing players to the NHL.
MacTavish has only been at the reigns for a short time frame but there is a major shakeup needed from the amateur and pro scouting departments, to player development, to decision making. |

Foligno spent very little time in Rochester. Has been playing with the big club and was one of the few bright spot for awhile. He hits everything and can play center and wing. He was hampered a bit by injuries late last year, early this year.
Pysyk was at times Buffalos Best D-man last year. But again he is in Rochester doing a conditioning stint because of injuries.
The team is so bad right now we have no idea how good/bad players actually are. |

Yak hits, is faster, has a way better shot - his hockeysense is lacking but so is Hall's- it will come around... Eberle is a cerebral player with sick hands, no physicality- I like them both in different ways- I just feel Eakins and his stupidity inhibits Yak's results... Yes last year Yak had an ostercized sophmore slump- and being russian it was exacerbated to an unfair degree... funny- TSN commentors and Cherry arent isolating MacKinnon's sleepy start?? Yak got a bad wrap from the likes of Dreger et al... |
