That's what they did with the guy in St-Jean. They met with him on a monthly basis. They met with him 2 weeks ago! He didn't have a gun, took his car.

I just can't imagine why would someone from st-jean would wanna go that far and do that kind of stuff.

Soldiers getting killed here, get killed because of the soldiers abroad.

So maybe we should care less about how other countries go about their business?

It's complicated.

Hell yeah.

Didn't they declare that there was no imminent threat to Canada either? Knowing what to watch for and what to do with the data is another thing entirely. Are we really going to let the government unilaterally decide who the Charter protects?

I'm just saying.... they're a patient and fanatic bunch.

Don't underestimate these crazy (frank)s.

- Pecafan Fan

I don't know what the answer is but I'd say if their on a watch list, then something a little more aggressive needs to be done to remove them from the watch list

I disagree. We have to get involved. What if we let them take control of the region or country and they get geared up with bombs or nuclear missiles (and then come at us). What about women being raped and killed for no reasons?

I see the Earth as a big school yard. If they throw rocks at each other at the other end of the school yard, yeah, you can stay put and just send water and first aid kits. But if they start raping and killing girls, well, you have to go and end it. Period. Maybe a simple way to look at it, but I didn't find any better.

On laisse des tueurs d'enfants qui avouent leur crime, en liberté. J'vois pas comment ils pourraient arrêter des gens qu'ils soupçonnent de commettre des actes de terrorisme.

Exactly. It's complicated. You cannot lock people in for no reasons. That's why you have to watch them closely, or let them leave IMO.

Problem is, there are no simple solutions.

The US and other countries have killed countless innocent people in those countries, saying they were protecting us.

So where/when does it end?

Drones bombing villages and schools are hardly a solution.

Exactly my friend. The continuous western presence in the middle east does as much if not more to destabilize the region than anything that these fanatical idiots can do. All the west is doing is adding fuel to the fire.

Let the bastards leave, strip their passports and then bomb the bastards when they get to their destination.

Simple.

I know. It's complicated. But you cannot let these bums (ISIS and Bokoaram or whatever their name is) get away with it. We just can't. IMHO.

Then we have to accept that more and more nutjobs will kill people here. In Canada.

But what is happening is that these groups unite to fight a common enemy. Thousands of martyrs are fuelling their cause. And the west has been doing this since the time of the crusades. This is not a new phenomena led by the U.S.
