I know. Never said it would be easy. Coburn is a nice player, but if they want to truly contend for a Cup, he should be their 3rd best defenseman.
- PhillySportsGuy

By the time they have two dmen better than Coburn on the same roster, the Nose will be 75.

Maybe. Carle, Timonen and Coburn were pretty good in their own right. A healthy #1 would make this team a contender, but I still think they'd be weak after him. They really need a #1 and a #2.
- PhillySportsGuy

With a legitimate #1, Coburn is fine as a #2. And MacDonald and Streit would be fine as the 2nd pair. And then Grossmann would be stronger as a 3rd pair defenseman.

Very large. I just don't think Nashville will do that unless the payment is ridiculously high.

I like Staal, but I wonder if he has his heart set on joining the Canes.

That line is one of my favorites from any sitcom. The first time I heard it, tears were rolling down my face I was laughing so hard.

Man, I really wish there was a way we could trade for Larsson. He seems to be coming around but stuck in DeBoer's dog house.

I see that as fine. Most cup champions have a defense that's more than fine though.

As long as you keep the Bachelor/bachelorette parties simple. Those things can get expensive for some people. My brother in law goes away to Mexico or Vegas or New Orleans for all his friends. I think that's a bit absurd.
- PhillySportsGuy

It's funny you say that because my buddies and I usually make a vegas trip every year so we figured we would just go there for my bachelor party anyway. None of gamble all that much and we can usually get decent deals on flights. We also don't stay on the strip. Fremont St, in my experience, is way cheaper

i agree on both points, but they were just the first two names off of my head.

guys like weber, doughty, pietrangelo, arent coming. nor is pronger. but i dont think it exactly needs to be for you guys.

one or two guys from that next tier would make an absolutely world of difference.

AMac-Streit would be one of the softest pairings in the league. Forwards would be begging their coaches to go against them!

If Coburn had any spec of offense to his game he would be fairly close to a # 1.

It's good if you can afford it. What ends up happening is that 1 or 2 of the people can't afford it and it becomes an issue.

Weddings can be such cluster(frank)s. The smaller the better imo.

Fremont streets a blast too! Love the single deck, $2 blackjack tables; you can put down $100 and pretty much play all night!

I had my heart set on Ehrhoff. I thought he would be perfect to pair with Coburn. Still can't believe he signed with you guys for nothing. (frank)ing bumhole.

Whats weird is that they've actually played well together. Berube has been using Streit-Schultz together lately. That's largely been unsuccessful

Being able to pass the puck out of trouble and keep hold of the puck in the offensive zone is more important than having a supposed hard man on a pairing. You think other team's forwards are scared of going against Grossmann right now? Kane sure wasn't last night.
