If that's how you feel, that players can develop from college to the NHL as opposed to from the AHL to the NHL, then we're done here.

I rather liked Huskins at the time as well. Thought he was pretty solid, although I also feel like he and Schultz are more or less at pretty much the same stage of their careers
- mcefalu

He's another version of last year's Hal Gill. He came in and played a simplified game for a small amount of games and people saw him for more than he was because the defense overall was substandard.

I don't have a problem with you, I just feel your take on prospect development is misguided is all.

The Hawks are playing TVR. Breaking the crap out of him every night. Don't know how he made the jump from college to the NHL. Hawks are dumb.
- mayorofangrytown

Look who else TVR has to play with on the back end in Chicago though. He's coming into a much more supportive situation.

Who is Ghost going to have as a mentor in Philly? Nick Schultz?

What if you're cautious and wrong and you never find out because of it?

I can't consider playing the best players as reckless, it's only tanking.

It's a shame I don't have my place in Philly anymore. It was really fun living there. When you graduate you should look to live there for at least a few years.

Playing in the AHL for a few months won't HURT them. That's the last thing I'm saying on the matter.

I kinda wish we had Hinkie. He'd cut the dead weight off this roster, open up tons a cap space and have us heading right towards a top 5 pick.

The only person that I would trust Ghost to come in to play with is Coburn. And then that's your top pair right there. Ghost might be ready for that in a few months, he might not. The only other guy I might pair him with is Grossmann.

I do hope Ghost impresses by December and we get to see a Coburn-Ghost pair. That could be pretty solid, provided Ghost is ok in his own end. That's obviously the big question.

Muzzin - spent 2.5 years in AHL.
Voynov - about 2.5 years in AHL
Duncan Keith - 2 years in AHL

Why can't Gostisbiere just play in the AHL? Just let te kid playin every situation and once he is ready and the team is ready with the minutes for him then bring him up.

Also remember he is coming from college hockey where they play less games a season.
