Would you have these numbers for Lemieux, Jagr and Crosby against the Flyers?
- Barnaby36

Well, first off, you're talking about 2 of the best players of all time and a guy who is universally regarded as a sure-fire first-ballot HOFer, but:

Lemieux - 104 pts in 52 games
Jagr - 113 pts in 91 games
Crosby - 75 pts in 48 games

Tocchett was a guy I couldn't stand when he played with the Flyers but of course he is one of those players that you would love to have on your team and when he joined the Pens he immediately became one of my favorite Pens.

More recently, without a doubt, Hartnell was the Flyer I despised the most.

He had 30 points in 34 career games against you guys, mostly played in an era of low-scoring (and not taking into account his NYR/TML/Dal days). I'd say that's pretty good.
- jmatchett383

I wasnt referring to points at all. From memory, I cant remember any back breaking goals he scored against us that conjured up hate towards him. Hard to hate a guy that got carted off 2x playing against us, and never really did anything worth remembering to us. Hartnell mocking Cy "Hulk Hogan" Clark was worse than anything Lindros did while playing Pitt.

Like that kid last week was saying, they probably would have a point or two in the game but not affect the outcome.

I've come full circle on the Flyers... As a young, irrational fan, I hated the Flyers and most of the players on that team. Then in the legion of doom days, I found myself actually liking most of the Flyers players. Mix in some playoff series over the years, I still hate the Flyers, but I've liked many more Flyers players than I have hated over the years.

Simmonds is a player that falls into that category with me. I would love to have him on the Pens.

Why are you doing this to us? and that's totally not true. There was hatred going back and forth ever since the Pens/Blues rivalry simmered down. While you maybe a level headed normal person, this rivalry is not for the level headed or the normal. The captain of our team went out of his way to dress up like your cities most successful athlete ever Rocky for Halloween, now if that wasn't a direct message to your team and city I don't know what is.

89' playoff elimination
Hextall/Brown
Primeau 5 ot
or how about (39-0-3), in the Rectum; until we got Mario?
By 2008 this rivalry as 20 years old

Doing what to you? The Penguins were considered irrelevant for the majority of the 70s/80s as well as the late 90s and early 00's. I don't care what your captain dresses up like to honor our city. You guys have the rivalry, we didn't care until 2008. You're bringing up small, specific instances. If that's the barometer, then the Flyers and Senators are a "rivalry" team. Heck, we've had more of a rivalry with the Sabres over the course of the team's career. For Philadelphia, this is a very recent intense rivalry. I won't say we particularly liked you guys, but there was no blood-boiling hatred.

I was a little surprised with Jagr's #s. Would have thought they would be higher on a ppg basis. Jagr did always have a knack for abusing NJ though.

Taking the hate out of the air, throwing a urine soaked blanket on the fire that is our hatred for the Flyers, flushing the hot steaming pile of crap that signifies the Flyers organization that we love to hate and when that steaming pile of crap is gone its not there for us to complain about anymore.

You Sir and your normal logical thinking has NO PLACE in a day like today!!

Actually, several are even or worse:

42 pts in 18 games vs. Calgary.
64 pts in 32 games vs. Carolina/Hartford.
45 pts in 19 games vs. Chicago.
50 pts in 24 games vs. Colorado/Quebec.
43 pts in 19 games vs, Detroit as well as LA.
109 pts in 54 games vs. NYI.
49 pts in 14 games vs. San Jose.
42 pts in 18 games vs. St. Louis.
39 pts in 18 games vs. Tampa Bay.
57 points in 25 games vs. Toronto.
40 pts in 19 games vs. Vancouver.
22 pts in 11 games vs. Winnipeg.

Given he has 1375 pts in 700 games (1.96 PPG), his 2.00 PPG versus the Flyers is about on par.

Jagr played in the low scoring era in a time when the Flyers were a pretty good team. He also had his Washington and NYR days.

Lemieux played in a high-scoring era where the Flyers had a 5-year period of terribleness. Not taking anything away from him, just food for thought.

Nothing, Brandon Sutter is a beast of a two way forward. NHL 15 says so.

Don't expect him or want him to. He's been out for a while and a rivalry game is no time to ease a youngster 6/7th defenseman back into the swing of things. Still, it could be a sign of a step in the right direction. If Bort continues to take reps with Despres, Scuderi could be heading to the press box sooner rather than later. I've come to the conclusion that Scuds is pretty much unmovable, and at this point I'd rather have his 3.25 mil of sunk cost in the pressbox than on the ice.

I will say, you've impressed me quite a bit over the years. You were a sure-fire ban every Flyers/Pens game day for a while, and doubly so during the 2012 playoffs. I don't mind the back and forth, but you used to be a bit out of hand. I'm sure it still happens at times, but I like the more constrained yet still passionate you.

Haha thanks, every once and a while I slip up; I was getting the ban itch this morning. I just take out my frustrations out during my games on Thursday nights, I barked (like a dog) at someone in pre-game skate last week and I feel like it won the game for us.

Unrelated, but multiple gunmen opened fire in Ottawa in/near Parliament.
