Oh stop stop stop. I again point out we stopped Stamkos and Ovechkin when we played Tampa and Washington. We should have won those games. This team is young and it will gel. Of course I had a stroke after the home opener... I was concerned. But since that game the team has come together nicely. We really played well in Tampa as well. I've said every game that I liked our defense and goal tending but was concerned about the scoring. I'm only going to be optimistic when it makes sense to be.

Team is built poorly, we have top end talent and then old slow support guys. There is no middle ground players at the moment outside of McGinn and Mitchell.

Thats the biggest issue right now, the foot soldiers are constantly being beaten down and guys like Stuart, Guenin/Wilson, Holden are dragging down that D by not playing up to NHL exceptable hockey.

Im sure some of the guys like Tanguay, Briere, Talbot, McLeod will hit their stride and start playing some better hockey, but the are all over 30 and their best hockey is behind them, so it makes the avs really easy to play against since they are really a 2 line and 1 pairing team at the moment

It probably would take more. And to be honest, Fleischman has really begun to play well for us these last two games. Guy should have 8 goals by now but must be the unluckiest NHL player in the league.
