If they pick up their game . It is a long ways to the trade deadline . If a team thinks they are the missing piece . You never know.

I can see both sides. There is a standard of professionalism that probably needs to be adhered to.

However, I'm not going to begrudge anybody for telling it like it is.

I like his approach compared to others. Yeah there is such thing as "professionalism" but i dont think things should be sugar-coated either. Perhaps if he put the word ugly it would be a different story but i like that he told it like it is. For example, in the past he said the sabres are going to be a terrible team this year, when others wouldnt touch that statement. He's just being honest with the viewers and i dont believe thats wrong

Yet there are plenty of players in the NHL at that age doing just that, and doing just fine.

What you repeatedly refuse to answer is whether or not Drouin would have done okay had the Lightning made a different decision, or someone else had drafted him and kept him up.

Not everyone has a crystal ball like you do that boils the grey areas down to unequivical facts. The argument is both absurd and ignorant to poise to someone.
You love to pontificate with hypothesis as if they are indisputable facts that only the ignorant would consider arguing.
Your opinions are just that...your opinion..nothing more.

As someone who is not a fan of Jonah Jihad, I love Pergament's blog, as it illustrates the reasons why I cannot stand to listen to the Channel 2 sports co-anchor.

It's like listening to a Garth blog, live on the air. Him trying to be hip with his "snappy" one-liners and references to pop culture are tiresome and embarrassing. Everytime he's on (and for those of you at the ready to tell me to watch another station, I am a huge fan of Benigni, and prefer Channel 2's news coverage over the other two), I say to myself, "well, here comes another audition tape for ESPN", because I've no doubt that's why he calls attention to himself. He'd certainly fit right in with those tools.

Boring. Good lord is that garbage of a entertainment journalist still writing for BN?
Doesn't he realize his relevancy extinguished about the time the analog tv disappeared. Another pontificator of opinion as fact.

I never at any point used a "crystal ball" or stated that it was unequivocal fact that Drouin would have been just fine had he stayed in the NHL. What I did state was simply that the mere fact that he didn't play in the NHL last year, and looked good yesterday, does not equivocate to "he needed another year in juniors". It very well could have been the case that a full year in the NHL would have led to the exact same result. I never equivocated anything.

I happen to like the change he brings to the traditional robotic report the facts anchors. To each their own.

Have a feeling that's TM's plan. Unless he's really Impressed with one of those two. We have the ability to take salary as long as its reletavely short term in exchange for a player that can help a bubble/playoff theam right now. As long as that team sweetens the pot with someone that has a good chance of helping us next year or the year after.

Pergament's article comes off as a bitter old man unable to grasp change.

Last I checked football is a team game and as a whole it was a garbage win. A win is a win though. Why everyone is making a big deal about the "garbage comment" is beyond me? Also no reporter from TBN should write anything about how others conduct themselves. That paper is full of halfwit reporting that's main goal is to bring attention to themselves.

In the end, the "Garbage"quote should be a non-issue.

Horton's back injury might be career threatening.

Wouldn't be surprised if they come calling for Stewart or Staff.

As well Dylan Larkin is a name that the sabres want from the red wings in a deal for Myers if one were to happen. I think it's a mistake to trade him now unless the return is HUGE

Mantha, Pulkkinen, and 1st is where the conversation needs to be for a deal IMO.

Since that's a no go from the Detroit end a deal won't be worked out.
