He can play for the Penguins, but he wouldn't be able to play in the playoffs. Might be best for his to sign a PTO and play with WBS once his season is over. - jmatchett383
Why couldn't Kap play in the playoffs? Once his season ends in Europe, I thought he was free to play either AHL or NHL. |

He is, but there is a drop-dead date where a player has to be on your NHL roster to be able to play for the playoffs, and he'd miss that date, as you can't add players in European/CHL leagues to your roster. He could finish the regular season with them, but not the playoffs.
It's the same reason that top-flight CHL prospects can't play in the playoffs after their seasons have ended. |

Ah ok. From what I understand, his team stinks and won't make the playoffs so his season over there will be a bit shorter. But depends how the dates line up. |

Yeah, I'm not sure what his team's schedule is like. But I wanna say the drop-dead date is mid-March. |

What if he produces for 3 years and is a key piece of winning 2 Cups in those years?
And yes, I meant on defense, as that would be the hole to backfill. - jmatchett383

Didn't Martin say he was going to test the market in the offseason? Isn't that why he has become expendable?
I won't pretend to know the return for him or venture any guesses to it. A pure hockey trade seems to be the way to go if it were to happen. The talk on here yesterday about the Martin/Williams trade looks good but I think we'd have to add to it, and the LA fans didn't think it'd be a fit anyway.
Tough to judge this early in the season, as it is now the Pens are a shaky goalie and bad penalty from being undefeated. They're playing very good hockey and still learning a new(ish) system. |

I don't think that is the case. That CHL rule was recently instituted. I am almost 100% positive that doesn't apply to European players on professional contracts who have already signed entry level deals. |

And everybody was begging to move Letang last year , now u won't give him up for a kings ransom, btw I wouldnt either , he's awesome in fact my license plate reads "PENS 58" |

Actually, dont they only play like a 48 game season over there. They may be done in time. Then again, either way he still needs to be ready to play in the NHL.
Sundqvist may actually be the more likely of the two to actually come back and play in Pittsburgh (if he meets the cut off guidelines) |

Sharp is great player but I wouldn't call that a kings ransom. |

For Sharp? I'd start to consider Letang moves honestly. Love the Letang, but Sharp is a very top end winger. - Guile
I say nope. Don't want a 32 year old winger with 3 seasons at 6mil. |

Some interesting theories out there on why Harrington was called up, what do you guys think?
They wanted to give him some practice with the big club so hes prepared to be the first call up in the future?
They simply wanted to reward a top prospect with a week of NHL salary?
They felt he would be the best bench option while Bortuzzo was out in case someone got hurt?
They had some magical trade talk regarding Scuderi but then GMJR removed the gun from the other GMs head? |

LA fans also seem to think Voynov is going to be back in a game or two. Honestly, if the injuries to his wife/girlfriend are serious, I doubt he plays again this year. But who knows at this point? An injury here or there and it all changes. |

No they dont. Where do you get this from? Fantasy land. Just love making stuff up because nobody wants to take on Scuds contract or take Martin off your hands?
Though the PA and Voynovs agent are looking into what they can do for him. Since it seems the league may not be able to make him sit out. Ala the Varlymov case. And that no charges have been filed and his next court date is December 1 or something like that. |

All of that's true except the part about Martin, we wouldn't have to try too hard for that.
Btw if Voynov is found guilty he will get deported most likely |

Are you seriously that stupid? I mean, clearly you are a moron, but do you truly lack that much self awareness? Honestly, are you even able to read or write? Or does a state appointed social worker have to transcribe your simple-minded thoughts for you?

Felony investigation means he will be sitting out for some time and the league has the right to suspended him during the entire process. |

Well, with the amount of struggling teams. Probably not. But that dude is crazy. Go read the Kings thread. He just keeps repeating himself over and over like nobody is getting what he says. He has to keep being told we understand what hes saying. |

No dude. Your clearly the idiot. You have this inability to understand what others tell you. Nobody once said he will be back in a game or two. You only listen to the things you think to yourself. Repeat the same thing over and over agaian.
How many times does someone have to tell you they understand the Kings can get out of his contract. But its to early to do so without all the information. Then you just repeat yourself saying oh but the Kings can get out of his contract.
Its amazing how you think your so much better than other people. Your not even clever in trying to pursued people into thinking what you want them to think. |

Had no idea, but it's usually different justice in this country for the rich, but LA could be F-ed because is he's found guilty he most likely will get deported, and his salary stays on the books![img]

I forget who reported it, but yes that seems to be "rumor" out there. Plus, he was also "rumored" to be unhappy with the changes in the organization. He's a good player, but if he was somehow happy with the spectacular failures of the last regime, I say don't let the door hit you in the ass. |
