In their defense, I think Metallica just lost "it"... Don't get me wrong, they're still very talented but they just had that intangible thing a lot of successful bands have, their newer stuff shows flashes but I often find myself disappointed. Now I do like some of their cover work, whiskey in the jar and Tuesday's gone are great cover tracks. The latter was particularly comforting when my dog died a couple months ago.

In their defense, I think Metallica just lost "it"... Don't get me wrong, they're still very talented but they just had that intangible thing a lot of successful bands have, their newer stuff shows flashes but I often find myself disappointed. Thanks man yea he was 14 and hurt his back, had to put him down...but I just checked out that track... I thought at the beginning it was slayer, then somewhere in the middle old school mettalica and by the end hettfield's new age voice was thriving

Well, Read's age and contract are going to factor into the return as well. Who gets you more - Laughton or Read? And where do you play Laughton long-term?

It is easy to criticize Berube for the lack of offensive zone starts for Couturier. But I personally think it has something to do with a lack of confidence in Cout's offensive capabilities at this point. A large part of it of course is Berube probably ONLY has confidence in that line's defensive awareness too.

But IF neither Couturier nor Laughton evolves offensively, you simply cannot play them as 2nd/3rd line centers IMO. One will likely need to go, or be played out of position. Or Laughton gets under-utilized as your 4th line center.

I don't think it has anything to do with not trusting Couturier offensively. Berube trusts Couturier in every situation, and in any area on the ice. It's that he doesn't trust any other line to take defensive zone draws. The only other line he'll put out there is the Giroux line, and that is because of Giroux's faceoff ability.

And Couturier's offensive production at ES was at NHL 2nd line center level last year. Which is pretty good considering how he was used.
