I watched the whole game last night, the Oilers played well...Taylor Hall makes that team competitive. That kid is the real deal!

You guys need D help as well.

A trade around Sutter/Dumoulin for Perron+ or Yakupov should work.

Trade a top 6 winger for a bottom 6 center?

That is the conventional wisdom. Trade the best players for plugs.

I didn't see any major issues with Joesnuu and Perron. They haven't been great but I don't think their play is really what the focus should be.

#1 Ference - This guys is going to cost us a lot of games this year. He is making poor choices with the puck and no longer has the physical gifts to compensate for those mistakes. This guy has got to go.

#2 Leon - His foot speed is scary slow and he tends to go offside a lot. If we constantly shelter him with offensive zone starts then Hall and Nuge are going to lose out on lots of good scoring opportunities.

Sutter would jump right into the 2nd line as C and can play top 6 minutes as a wing as well. I'm not the one treating players like $hit in Edmonton.

Something to build on at last. Saw a team that worked hard and was rewarded.

We are deep on bottom 6 centers! Thanks tho.

What we need is someone to cover that slot! Turn off the sign that says we are open.......wide fricken open!

Good win, great job shutting down stamkos!

I wish that moron behind the bench would give Yakupov some ice time. 2 mins in the first and 10 mins total, Eakins is a joke

Yak was buzzing last night but without a stinger, couple of offsides, missed assignments, and a few giveaways. Still looked like he was playing an individual game. Didn't play too too poorly, but I see where Eakins was coming from.

i've had eberle in my keeper pool for the past year. Everytime i see him play he seems to have lost his drive. Still supremely skilled but just missing something. Got an offer for drouin and a 2nd round pick. What do the EDM fans think? goals are more than assists and +/- counts...

We may have watched a different game.

He was the main catalyst for goal #1. I believe the offsides but I don't recall any of his missed assignments. None led to goals anyway. He back tracked on Drouin well using his speed

That Hall penalty shot was huge for this team. I actually made a point not to watch the game last night since I had watched all the others, I figured I was bad luck so now I have skip the next game too

awesome game last night, great atmosphere at the rink.

i'm not going to complain about Yakupovs ice time too much since we finally won a (frank)ing game. But IMO, when he was on the ice he looked like the best player out there, on both sides of the ice, so again, Eakins is an idiot..

Nuge looked awesome, Petry and Marinicin looked really good. Somehow over night the Oilers figured out that it's kind of good idea to cover the slot in your own end, who woulda thunk it? Probably has alot to do with the fact that Schultz played less than 20 min and Petry led the team in ice time. But again, Ference and Nikitin both had more ice time than Fayne and Marincin which just boggles my mind.

Hopefully they can build off this game and get on a bit of a roll here to get up to .500.

Thats tough man.. Depends on how you think Drouin will turn out. Is this an indefinite keeper league?

Not sure what game you watched along with many other fans, but eberle has played better every game since returning from injury. I thought he was one of the most dangerous players last night

That's a tough one. Eberle is the safer bet, but, if Drouin goes as advertised, especially teamed with Stamkos, you could look great.

I would advise on waiting until next season, suffer through his slump, then in his third year when he breaks out, you'll be laughing.

Basically i have a power house team that should win it (i compiled a ton of picks). So i can have one guy (eberle or drouin) have mediocre years and easilly live through it. I think drouin MAY become what eberle currently is - a very good player who could get 30g 70pts. Eberle is ahead offensively right now but the +/- should favor drouin. I'm leaning towards it. Cheers.

This is just personal opinion, but i think Drouin is going to be Stamkos' new St. Louis, and I think he will be a career PPG player.
