I don't see term being an issue? Hiller is signed for two years at 4.5, Miller for three years at 6. Ya they could have saved 1.5 million but they got the better goaltender, in their minds...which is what matters.
I think Iginla would have signed here if he really wanted to. But not for three years!! - LeftCoaster
Miller's contract has an NTC, and I just think it (frank)s us in the long term with goaltending. Eddie Lack is going to wait 3 years to be a legit NHL starter? He will be 29 years old. He will either be traded or will probably be a career backup, because I don't see him improving over three years playing second fiddle to Ryan Miller. You can say that because we signed him we got him for free, but IMO the Ryan Miller signing came at the expense of Eddie Lack. I just fail to see how the difference between Lack and Miller is greater than the negatives that come iwth the signing |

Then sign Jonas Hiller for much less term/$$... Goaltending wasn't the issue last year. If we had more money to play with we may have been able to grab Iginla in addition to Vrbata. If we are going all in then put it where we need it (offense) - bezz44
The Canucks only chance of making the play offs this year is signing Martin Brodeur. |

(frank) yea. Get the papers ready Benning, we are bringing the cup to Vancouver |

So they'll be fine but we are destined to fail? - LeftCoaster
The difference is their club has 100 top 5 picks already and we have 0. If they pick in the 10-20 spot they still have top end talent developing, we don't . The highest pick we have is a 6 spot |

I'm going to screenshot this and save it for later
If you'll recall we almost beat the Kings a couple of times last year, I guess the Kings didn't make the playoffs and we did? Wait a second... - bezz44

You're thinking too far ahead, professional sports is a very fluid business, next year could be totally different, in terms of player personnel, than this year. |

Some numbers from Colorado
Augusts retail pot sales set a record $34.1 mil up from $29.3 in July. Of that $34.1 mil $7.5 mil is tax revenue for the state, the state has raised $45 mil in tax revenue since Jan 1st.
They have come up with less powerful edibles for all the first timers and tourists who are trying them because it's now legal, it's called a Rookie Cookie.
Now back to hockey.
Why would anyone trade for our useless players? |

Because they are less useless that what they presently have?
How about we trade Shinkaruk to Winnipeg for their #1
Okay done. |

Can't believe they legalized before Canada did!!!
The tax revenue they are missing out on must be beyond ridiculous. |
