I don't really agree with that. He just got highlighted because of his play in the playoffs.

I actually think they are very comparable players. Gio is just bringing his play to a whole new level in the next couple of years. I would be suprised if the top two scorers on the flames at the end of the season are defencemen.

But this also has to do with the flames on the rush. There is a defencemen on the rush every time. Between Gio, Brodie, Russel, and Wideman we might have the highest scoring top 4 dmen combo in the league this year. Im going to look it up and see who it was last year.

Total points for the top 4 dmen. Flames are number 10 and with a better Brodie and Russel (and a healthy wideman) I don't see why they can't get an extra 30 points out of their D. Brodie with 45, Gio with 50, Wideman with 40, and Russel with 35 points.

They are a fragile bunch. It is just in their head that as soon as something goes wrong it is all going to fall apart. Ference is an awesome guy but he can't expect to lead a team playing weak minutes every night. The best captains lead by example. Maybe we will trade you glencross for marcinin.

Nope just individuals forgetting to take care of their own responsibility. If you notice all those scrambles there is usually 4-5 guys diving around. Just take care of your own man and it'll be better.

As far as I know, neither of the two have stanley cup rings so… yeah.. irrelevant. Not to mention Giordano is on a rebuilding team, Subban isn't, and Gio is STILL out performing him. In the wise words of Apu, Thank you, come again.
