I'm no fan of Salvador but I disagree, totally different types of players. If Salvador was removed you'd need a player like Helgeson to go in. PDB is only going to remove Merrill, Gelinas or Severson for Larsson unless someone gets injured. Even if Salvador was injured, there was an interview TG did where PDB said they'd call up someone to replace him due to the type of game he plays.

I disagree with this because it implies Salvador brings something to the table that is actually usefull which just isn't the case. He's a complete detractor from the team and we'd definitively be better with him out of the lineup and gelinas in. I feel you only said that because tg tweeted that before. Anyways I think Merrill will be more effective on the left which should help him. Maybe deboer will see that and keep lars in the lineup (if his play warrants) to have balanced righties and lefties

Good ol PDB screwing with the lines already, i hope his changes aren't to drastic.
Why can't he give these lines time to gel before shuffling, we're only a few games into the season for christ sakes! I don't care who is on the 4th we're not going to get much out of that line regardless of who is on it, and Zubs does not belong on the top line.

Don't understand why he would take Cam off the top line. He has what, 5 goals in 5 games?

It would be cool if jackman couldn't resign with the blues in the offseason due to cap troubles. I would like him over sal.
- shvingter88

With Helgeson and Santini on the way, I think they might just go with kids after Sal.

Sooooo by replacing Salvador , do you mean someone who is slow, out of position, gets burned on the pk????? Cuz that would be awesome....
- bigjersey3

Yes, that's what I meant...
I think they mean someone who's purpose is to clear the front of the net....alll that other stuff you mentioned is just a bonus.

Again, not a fan of Salvador, but I am realistic. He plays with an edge nobody else on the roster has at the moment. How much more soft can the D be? It's probably the softest in the league as is. I pretty much stated that I got the information from tg, so thanks for pointing that out again.

Haven't seen sal clear the front of the net in years can you show me some recent footageof this ? Every time he is out there he has his back directly turned towards his assignment while he is looking behind the net or in the corner leaving the guy all alone to score which I am pretty sure has happened to him on 3 occasions already this season. Henrique and Elias are the two most dangerous pk guys we have on the team and Pete has already (frank)ed that up by making cammy kill penalties way more then Rico then you got Brunner who honestly isn't even an nhl player taking power play time from our leading goal scorer from last year like wtf is going on ? I'm sorry for my language but we are going full retard here by taking out the best fourth liner for a guy who is garbage and can't play the North American game and by taking henrique out of so many situations that he excels at not to mention the anchor he carries in Ryder but you know Ryder and Brunner get all the special treatment and same with zubrus who should be on the third line and no where near the top 6 and then Zajac who literally can't do no (frank)ing wrong like seriously the guys is jay mcclenent making 6 million for the next 7 years there is no plan here it's just throwing darts at players pictures that's the only way I can explain how decisions are made around here it's absolutely mind numbing to watch this coaching staff and what's even worse is listening to the stupid poop they spew as to why they have made these decisions (frank) it drives me mad.

Yeah I don't think Lou would ever dress four or five kids in a lineup. I think one or two of them will definitely get moved for a middle aged guy at some point. Not in a bad way, though

I could see them signing a vet on short term and using Helgeson could be the 7th dman next season.

I dislike the lineup decisions as much as the next fan, but I have to look at them realisticly with the coach we have now. No, Salvador is not a physical presence anymore but the coach still has that perception, which means he stays in the linep. I will be honest though in that I don't think as highly of Gelinas as some people. I have said in the past that he worries me in that he could just be Kurtis Foster 2.0. I think of all of the viable (according to PDB) candidates to sit, it would have to be Gelinas with his play so far. Merrill has been on his off side, Severson has been great, Greene isn't goin anywhere and Zidlicky...I don't know what to say but again I don't see PDB sitting him.

Gio, Zubrus, and Sal get treated like (frank)in royalty on this team
- Senor_Elias

hmm two shouldn't be playing and Zubs gets way too much ice time. He should be on 3rd/4th line and be exclusively used for PK. No PP time and less 5v5 time.

I think the issue with Gelinas is that there is such a drastic difference between his good nights and his bad. Even on bad nights for Merrill and, so far, Severson, you don't see the glaring mistakes like you do from Gelinas. He's very similar to Larsson in that respect.

Don't know, but he scored 4 goals in the first game, what's why his points are high. He's been a AHL lifer, like Gionta before Pete thought he was good.

They need a Gudas type defender. Someone who lay a mother (frank)a out, someone that actually uses the body, blocks shots, throws fists, someone who will grab a jabronie by the throat if they troll the crease.

NJ has no muscle, no grit. Softest D in the league. Helgeson is as Close as we got unless Santini makes a hell of a jump.

Isn't Radko Czech? Maybe Lou will send them Larsson. TB may take him, they actually know what to do with young talent
