Galchenyuk is not a franchise centre yet. I really like the way he has started out the season....but I think you're jumping the gun. - Pie
Even if Chucky is a legit center and franchise player, trading Plek ain't the way to go.

Plekanec is a leader and a solid player. What has Yak shown in the NHL? - BingoLady
Pleks is as close to a Selke candidate that MTL has right now, and that type of C is a requirement, to me, to go deep in the POs |

I get it. MacTavish has to be feeling some heat. I just don't think the Habs are as deep at C that they could afford to flip Plekanec and lose say DD or even Galchenyuk to injury. - Pie
I don't know when we will see Galchenyuk playing centre. If he plays better there, he has to play there at some point. The sooner the better. |

Live for today. Can't worry about 3-4 years down the road. What id PK has a career ending injury or Price pulls a Roy after an 8-1 loss and is shipped to Seattle. |

So why would EDM trade a franchise player for an old washeup up soft player like Plek ? - WaterBoy
Old washeup soft player?
Plekanec is a very good two-way center.

Plekanec is a very good two-way center and our #1 center at the moment - sEb_666

that was my thought. Eller's not really making a case for much, although they're looking a bit better |
