apparently Tinordi learned how to play hockey at some point between preseason and regular season too, which was god of him.

Very nice to see a solid 12ish minutes for sure. And I saw someone (Fred I believe) ripping Weaver. I don't get that.

yes but Kyle Quincey is... Kyle Quincey. i'm talking more like Chara, Hedman, McDonagh, Phaneuf (lol)...
- DoubleDown

Quincey is a solid stay at home defenseman playing over 20 minutes per game. The guys you listed are more offensive minded guys.

well i see them as 2-way guys who play their team's toughest minutes. i think those guys are tougher to play against than guys like Quincey because it's so much harder to have the puck with them on the ice.

At this point Bournival could easily play on the 3rd line.

The 4th line was surprisingly good last night, I thought. Lots of time spent in the Red Wings zone.

Galchenyuk can skate circles around Chara.

still hope Sekac gets back in for the NY game. not seeing why Moen should be an everyday player on this team.

I've defended him for a long time against you but it really looks like he'll never figure out how to be a consistent player. That being said, the few decent passes he made last night went onto Bourque's stick.... and immediately off of Bourque's stick. So that has to get frustrating at some point too. BUT, it in no way excuses the total lack of consistency. I think Bergevin will regret a 4 year deal. Mind you I thought the same thing about Desharnais so...

well Desharnais struggled a bit after signing the deal... but Eller struggled all season long last year. so it might be wishful thinking that the new deal is affecting. he might just suck.

He's a "good for 5 games, ghost for 20" type of guy. Infuriating.

Hopefully he and Bourque will be hot at the same time, otherwise, that line is a complete waste.

i wonder if he did it knowing knowing that it would likely lead to 4 on 4. he's lucky that he wasn't the only one sent off because the ref has the discretion to make that call.

They'll never get to rename it the "Selkac trophy" if he gets stuck with those two all season long.

Not a big fan of the play-by-play guys on TVA Sports, but they offer a pretty good coverage.

We get Leafs-Sens and Pens-Flyers tonight.

Pretty cool.

They are a pain in the ass. Their system doesn't allow a lot of speed for the opposing team in the neutral zone.

I thought there was a lot of clutching and grabbing all night.

Very boring game that reminded me of the Habs-Devils tilts of the 2000's. Jacques Lemaire probably shed a tear watching it.
