I thought Brayden looked great vs Dallas.
Winning some pucks in battles along the boards and going to the net .
Exactly what I hope to see from him playing wing.

Two solid games in a row really.
Hope he keeps it up.

Luke still has those moments where he gets caught out of position and looks inconsistent.

MDZ has been playing better though.
Maybe those two can find some consistency.
It's still early and they are getting used to each other.
I am encouraged Berube has left them together because they looked horrible the first few games.

Will see what happens when Coburn gets back.

NP.. anything for a fellow NBer lol..

I'm leary about trading with TO after the JVR deal.. ugh.. Although I would take Gardiner off their hands in a second. Only way I consider trading B Schenn is if it's in a deal for a #1 dman.. which is unlikely.

Yeah that's what I was thinking...Maybe ship out a different C to land Gardiner or Franson, neither one of them are #1 tho

I'll agree MDZ has been better, but that's not saying too much. I'm not sold on him, but I'll give him some time and hopefully he keeps improving.

Luke Shenn? keep him. Brayden? Potential 1C in Calgary, no offense I would keep Monahan, Bennett, Backlund, Colbourne, any day.

Dude. Just put the c in the name. It's not hard

I think Berube is gonna find a way to keep Nick Schultz around and bench Luke Schenn when Coburn returns.

I'd really be worried about us trading him for less than a #1 guy and having B Schenn turn out as a stud after developing him here.

I also sometimes consider that he was a big piece of the Richards trade..looks bad if we give up on him although I guess the org never considers those optics .. see the bryz buyout.. lol

that's fair

they badly need a guy like him with puck skill and skating but when he gets out if control the risks are greater then the benefits

But when he picks his spots he can really help the offense

Already good to see people pointing at Mason's pedestrian numbers and saying see, he sucks.
- Jsaquella

Knew this would happen. The same people usually rip the Flyers defense on a regular basis as well. Funny that they don't see how the defense affects the goaltending.

Are either one of those Shenn brothers any good? I don't here a (frank)ing thing about them ever.
- Misterbator

L. Schenn does everything Giordano does, he just does it much worse.

L Schenn > Engelland

And B Schenn would be the Flames' #1 C

- Tomahawk

If Berube were coaching the Flames, he'd be the #1LW.

I could see that, NS has earned it.
Schultz has been better then expected.
Seems like a solid vet pick up for the #7 spot so far.
I said the same thing about Gervais his first few games too, though.
When they tried playing him every night he was exposed for what he was.
We'll see.

Russian outfit guy. I think he was playing poker at the Chesterfield with Roman and Maurice as well.

He has a reduced role on a club with insane depth. You can't ignore that when he was here as the 1C, he was very good and the team was successful with he and Carter.

He's seen less ice than Schultz over this last stretch of play that Schultz has been in the lineup.

I think MDZ will be in the lineup because of his mobility.

They're basically the same guy. 2 eyes, 5 +/- 1 fingers on each hand. Carbon-based. What more do you need?

Based on merit of play I would agree. But if this happens, how will the JVR trade be rationalized then?
